Wide-open anything goes!
Perhaps you should read posts.
I most definitely think if you are not willing to wear protection for other people it is selfish. We don't know when COVID is most contagious, but we are starting to think it may only be in the first 5-8 days of infection. The asymptomatic time period.
You don't judge, yet you called us cunts? LMAO!
Most things can be settled without violence? Really? No shit?
Whoa!! Bagua has come to life!
Here is my view on masks. If you want to wear one wear one. If you don’t don’t. If some fuck says something to me about it they can fuck off and I’ll be happy to inform them of that. I don’t say anything to them for doing something I think is over the top.
I did some reading on how masks work recently. I’ve also had to work under supplied air many times in my life. Also had to use respirators while working with Cancer causing powdered chemicals. We were taught about micron sizing and why certain Things are ineffective as ppe.
So I am no medical expert but do have some experience with these types of things.
Let’s start with a respirator, a cartridge style one. These things work fairly well. But I noticed as I’d sweat that some of the powders that hit my face would actually make there way into my mask. They were in a goo form by then but 10-12 hrs of wearing this thing and these things failed me to a small degree. Oh and yes I was fit tested to these masks. But if you are paranoid about covid and wanted to protect yourself and others this would probably be your best option. Just remember something that doesn’t have positive pressure can never protect you 100%
Obviously walking around on supplied air isn’t feasible.
So now we have masks. These vary from N95 to surgical to the stupid knitted mask I saw a guy wearing at the registry’s a col days ago when I was getting my bike registered.
If someone feels better about wearing an engineered mask, well I guess this would be your next best option. But not long ago we were told they don’t help, that we should save masks for frontline workers ( I hate that term by the way).
Then we got these stupid homemade masks.
I wanted to understand the usefulness of these things I knew was inherently stupid so I did some research on the subject. To my surprise You can actually make a fairly effective mask yourself! Problem is it needs so many layers it’s almost impossible to breathe out of. No science behind this but from what I read and what I have seen on the street I would guesstimate you’re dishrag on your face is somewhere between 5-25% efficient. So you are theoretically protecting yourself AND others an additional 5-25% more. I personally do not think this is worth it. To top it off most people aren’t hygienic and may not clean these things properly, touch them way to often etc. To me it’s not worth the effort. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe the people wearing masks are wrong or the correct answer is somewhere in the middle. My personal view home made mask are a stupid false sense of security. I will not wear one.
