TRT Doses

100mg/wk doctor prescribed. Started with quarterly bloods, then 6 months and now once/yr. After bloods come back and have a follow up I'll bump things a bit 250/wk for 3-4 months and do my own bloods when I'm in the US for work. Have been feeling great using this protocol myself.
This is exactly what Im waiting for....and its killing me waiting but will be very worth the wait. Lets goooo

Definitely worth the wait to get the script!! I felt the same getting set up, had to try a few different doctors but it paid off.

For guys that cycle and use UGL gear, why not self prescribe the TRT and get independent blood work? Is it just because of insurance benefits? Just curious.

For me, it’s mostly due to blood work availability.

I don’t mind paying for my blood work, but for some reason, where I live, getting it done is harder than going to the moon.

I had to fight with my GP just to get a full hormonal panel.

Every time, she’d tell me the same thing: “All your regular blood work looks fine, so there’s no need for that.”

Damn, that’s like saying your engine oil is fine, so your transmission oil must be fine too.

So now I just go private and get my blood work done every three months and pay $250 each time

That makes sense. I suppose it makes it easier to travel with a prescription as well. No real need to plan around that.

I'm not on TRT but man it seems like so much trouble to deal with docs.

I'm about to start injections again, been a long long time but the Androgel is getting too tedious
I usually am applying 2.5-5g of Androgel a day, most days 2.5g and surprisingly I am always at high normal ranges.

For injections I do 250mg every 2 weeks just because the ampules have 250mg, usually theres more than 1ml in them too and I am usually around mid 30's nmol/L (range is 8-28ish) but depends when between injections I get tested. It's a bit higher than I want but I also prefer ampules.

Ive always wondered, does your hematocrit still get high using the gel or no?

Nope, literally none of my bloodwork has ever come back with flags of high/high normal for any of my regular markers when using the gel. I honestly think it's the healthiest way to do TRT but I will admit, it is not as great as the injections especially for athletic performance/muscle gain.

It kept me really lean, I always have a 6 pack now but I am also quite skinny, but it beats being skinny fat. The usual side effects from low T like having no energy, sexual dysfunction were completely cured with the Androgel. Also no hair loss, even though I don't think I have a balding gene when I used TRT injections I definitely did see some hair loss although it wasn't that much I'd have more hair on my pillow, with the gel I have none. Also another thing is my blood pressure had no changes at all, stayed low.

I'd say my strength / athletic performance had no real boost, so it was kind of like just going back to having normal testosterone levels.

Id worry about it rubbing off on your wife during sex. I saw a case where a baby was born part way through puberty, they suspected somehow the gel was at fault.

29.5 nmol/L
250/week
6 years
All blood work excellent. Doctor is happy.
I feel great. Good libido
Forget the doctors, do what you need to do to feel good.

travel... And in the event there's some issue getting UGL. It's nice to have a legit/legal source. Plus I can say I'm TRT with a straight face.

When I checked 125 put me in the middle. But lately I have been running 200. Only downside to 200 mg/wk is I need to use an ai, or my eyes burn/itchy from the higher estrogen
I am replying to my own post because I found 200 mg of dim 5 days a week (I sometimes to forget tto tae vits on the weekend) seems to be working perfect with no AI needed.

Just got my blood work back after 6 months on TRT.

Protocol:
– 45 mg twice a week
– 200 mg DIM daily

Results:
– Total T: 19 nmol/L
– E2 (sensitive): 169 pmol/L

Not really happy with those numbers. Hopefully my clinic will accept to raise my dose.

The first 3 months my protocol was 50 mg twice a week, which put me at 31 nmol/L.

They asked me to lower it to 45 mg twice a week because I was slightly over the top of the range, but I didn’t expect that dropping just 10 mg per week would lower my total testosterone that much

How did you feel at 31? Noticed much difference compared to to now at 19? I am also very “sensitive” to e2, it was at the high end of the normal range even before TRT. When I got bumped to 120mg/wk my total T was 27, e2 was 239 with no side effect and they moved me back down to 100mg and added .5mg of AI, total T reduced to 21 E2 to 95. I noticed reduction in energy & libido so I cheated a little bit and have been giving myself 120mg for last 3 to 4 weeks, we shall see when I get my annual test in few weeks.

125mg cyp prescribed and my numbers have been very good. But I've been more around 140mg and feel great.
Im fairly lightweight with my usage typically, if i add anything, it's primo
How is your e2 when adding primo to such a low dose of test?

To be honest, my pre-TRT levels were 19 for total T and 169 for E2, so at those levels on TRT I basically feel the same as before… bad and shitty hahaha.

I have zero energy, so zero libido.

At 31 total T, I felt like a new person.

Libido was good… the girl was happy hahaha.
The only downside was that sometimes I felt a bit too energized, which caused some anxiety.
If my clinic is okay with it, I plan to bump the dose to 40 mg, 3x per week, and I’m hoping my E2 will go down.

I’m trying to avoid taking an AI, and at the same time I’m trying to fine-tune my protocol and find the best sweet spot… but it’s definitely a long game
