How many people have tried retatrutide and what was your experience?

Reta has been great for me, been on it just over 6 months. Started at 0.25mg for 3 weeks then to 0.5mg for another 2 weeks, 1mg for a month then I maxed out at 2mg every 6 days for the last 3 months. I'm down 31 pounds of fat while gaining muscle. I also went from a heavy weekend drinker to no drinks at all for the last 5 months. I do get a tingly feeling like my arm is asleep especially while trying to sleep. I don't think I would ever go past 4mg per week, I want to stay at a maintenance dose of 2mg or less. I also just got off the phone with my doctor and he was commenting on how much my lipids and HC1 have improved considerably, he doesn't know I'm taking Reta.

With a full scale push on nutrition/training/sleep alongside 2mg Reta I lost 60+lbs in 9 months. 33%BF to 15% and gained approximately 6-8lbs lean muscle mass thanks to protein intake/weights/TRT. This was confirmed with a recent Deca scan. Prior scan was 2023. Between 2023 scan and 9 months ago I was only cycling, no weights or militant calorie counting so I figure 3-4 lbs lean muscle was gained in my legs from cycling. Total lean mass gain between the scans was 11lbs.

Yes, Reta works like a hot damn and muscle loss can easily be prevented with some hard training and well thought out nutrition.

If anxiety is an issue, use Tirz, it will still work amazingly anyways. If you can calm the food noise, half the battle is won already.

Did you ever try tirzepitide?
No, only reta because it’s a triple agonist and I still want to have an appetite so I can build muscle and meet my goals! Please let me know if you have any other questions because I have tried many of them and have a lot of experience.

Well I get anxiety and read tirz would be better for me, less heart rate elevation and apparently stopping reta after a long time gives people panic attacks

If that does happen it’s very rare and I actually think it will calm a lot of your anxiety around food, weight management and if you ever get cravings or have any addictions. I’ve been researching reta for almost a year now and have never come across anyone who’s experienced that. But I do understand that it is a concern for you.

I actually seen a pole online that showed more then half who did the surgery said they got anxiety with it. Theres even a thread here where someone was saying something about it effecting their heart

thanks for sharing! How did it affect their heart? I’m curious to know more

I can't speak to the anxiety or some of the other ideas here, but I can present one anomaly which appears to be backed up by the clinical trials. My eGFR was significantly better the one time I tested it while on Reta. March 27 of this year, I had been on it for 6 weeks at this point. Looking at my logs, the gear use varies but there's not much else different. As well, my blood pressure is always good, so my kidneys are not on a roller coaster in that sense. Now, I know this is just an anomaly with a sample size of 1, however the clinical trials did indicate improved kidney function in at least one group: the obese group, but not the diabetic group.
So, people losing weight can probably affect kidney function, so that may well play into it, but the gist seems to be that reta itself has an effect...so make of this what you may, it was a pleasant surprise.

The test on March 27 is the highest ever at 88, after 6 weeks of reta, the test from July 29 is the latest with my second-best eGFR reading at 79, and that's with Anavar here and there for a couple of months. A 17 point improvement from December to March.

I had come off reta in early May. These markers are the result of Cystatin-C testing for more accurate eGFR results.

who knows if you’ll even experience that side effect personally though? my RHR hasn’t changed on reta, nor has my out of control anxiety worsened. had no changes at all coming off either last time aside from being hungry again and crushing too many mcdoubles lol, had been on it for 6 months at that point.

plus, assuming no insane long term effects come out, why would you ever even need to come off with current data? aside from bulking perhaps.

Thanks for finding the post, it doesn’t sound super concerning. The worst that can happen is you try and then you can just stop if you want right :) . You are in charge of your own body. Just make sure you get it from a reputable source :)

Strangely enough - I've read that reta is good for calming addictions too... so you may be experiencing this.
Reta is actually fantastic for this effect, it regulates your dopamine response (spikes) for anything that can trigger it.

There's been some rumors of it potentially being investigated for helping people quit smoking/gambling/alcohol/drugs.

Yes I've read that too....reta is just amazing - it's made such a change in my life....and in so many others. I can see it becoming a commonly prescribed drug by doctors very soon. Now - is it going to be covered by the gov't or not ?

Honestly I don't think it will be covered by the government, but with further trials I could see it being covered by insurance for other purposes. Although maybe with time, when they see how popular it is.

We have to remember its not technically approved for anything yet, we're just the guinea pigs chomping at the bit.

I have the worst anxiety, reta dont make it worse at all, I love it, 1 mg a week is all I need and if you wanna stay at 1mg, use a tiny bit of willpower ... It works great.....

I just hope when lilly has it approved they don't come after all the pep suppliers & the supply chain....might put a big dent in supply..

My experience has been that even on my low dose, 1.25/wk I notice significant decrease in my craving for booze👍

That's wishful thinking, if history has shown us anything its that pharmaceutical companies aggressively pursue anyone who undercuts their profit margins.

Retas been blowing up on facebook. Curious who has tried it and if they liked it or not. Id like to try it out.

It’s great, worked so well for me. I’ve actually yet to come off it just for insulin sensitivity while using hgh, although I’m gonna switch to tirz , just to get my rhr a bit lower. After being on Reta since January of this year, I can say confidently the appetite supression doesn’t exist For me anymore, I’m literally on 7mg and eat completely normal lol. Next cut I’m most likely going to implement cag with it
