Reta & irregular heart beat -anyone experience this ?

Any update on this? Heart arrhythmias or irregular heart beat should never be ignored. They can be benign and nothing serious to life threatening and a warning. If accompanied by other symptoms, get medical advice immediately such as chest pain, shortness of breath, etc.
Anytime your body gives you a clear indication something is off, you should listen to it. Stop the medication that is causing the issue, and see a professional to be sure. No, I have not experienced this but that is irrelevant. You should never push through side effects as this may be your body warning you something is wrong.
You do not have to tell your doctor you are on Reta if you don't want to, but if I was having any heart peculiarities I would so they can take this into consideration. If you seek medical opinions, stop taking it - otherwise they may send you for a series of tests when all you have to do is remove the trigger.
People who ignore bad blood results or potentially serious side effects, are remiss and you may end up with a life long issue that could have easily been remedied years prior. This applies to more than Reta - PED's can cause serious issues which I am sure you know.
Pushing through it is not a sign of being tough, it is a sign of being irresponsible and advising someone to do so is just as bad.
Thats sound advice goldenrod..and very much appreciated also. Thats why I come to this forum. At present I'm on a few holidays and was honestly thinking of calling my family doctor when I'm back next week for an ecg....undecided if I'm going to tell him yet....not sure if I want this on my medical record as insurance and other companies will have access to it. I think I'll wait to see what they find......I want to do more research too...

I would not tell my doctor unless something is found. My comment was if you go and get checked out, get off the Reta long enough to have it clear your system. To prevent going down a rabbit hole that may be 100% because of the Reta and will disappear in time, I would share it if something is found. Just tell the doctor, I never thought of it but to lose some BF, I started using low dose Reta - you will probably get a lecture or if the doctor gives a shit they will offer you a prescription GLP-1 agonist.
Agreed, I have said I would never tell a doctor I take any PED's albeit Reta may not be considered a PED, but it is used in sport. Every issue you ever have will be blamed on the unapproved PED which does not rid their responsibility to ensure it isn't something else.
They do not do this with people who smoke, or abused rec drugs so this should be part of the picture and nothing more for the doctor.

As for insurance companies having access to this, they do not without your permission end stop. That is not debatable, your medical history is yours and the doctor has a responsibility to ensure it is secure. Naturopaths can't talk to your doctor unless you give them permission, and if they do they are breaking the law.
If you need to get life insurance in the future, it could impact the rate you pay or make you uninsurable, but as I have said before and this is not up for debate, take rec drugs, become an alcoholic, smoke, take PED's and this causes your death but you were not doing this when you qualified - it has no impact on your life insurance. Actuaries take into account the physical will miss some medical issues, people will start unhealthy habits after, and this will lead to a certain amount of deaths, disabilities, and critical illnesses.
All the same, I don't want anything on my medical file except what I consider relevant. Doctors are controlled by PHIPA and only share past medical info when required to do so by law or in emergencies to save your life.
Off topic, but it is good to keep it off your medical file, but if a doctor determines you have a heart arrhythmia, expect a lot more than a basic EKG if the doctor sends you to a specialist.

Two weeks in low dose reta 1.75mg/wk - 500mcg every other day - and I just started experiencing irregular heart beat.

I notice it when I wake up from sleeping - no other times - a bit concerning - I can actually feel my wrist pulse - and every 6th or 7th heartbeat has
a longer duration between it and the next.

Anyone else experience this ?

Did some research - found that this was a side effect and documented in 2-11% of the people taking it in the Eli Lilly study and that it may go away on its own.

Anything I can take - electrolytes ? or other supplement to reduce or eliminate this ?
Happened to me at the 3mg mark the first time I used it- also was using caffeine and nicotine pouches everyday , I cut those out and it disappeared

Back with caffeine nicotine ( just not in high mg pouches this time ) and Reta now, lol. Haven’t experienced it yet, my blood pressure is also much lower now ( was 125/65 on average ) now is 105-110/55 and I haven’t had problems.. yet

Ive heard a lot of anecdotes about people getting anxiety attacks after stopping reta, if anyone has ran it for a year snd stopped maybe they could chime in

Mine have disappeared - not sure exactly why - maybe it's because I've started drinking electrolytes - that elminated them for me the day after I noticed them.

I was drinking a few cups of coffee - but not much - and no nicotine - those sound like they pushed you over an edge that reta maybe brought you closer to.

I’m almost certain it was the high dose nicotine pouches, if you think about it they are much harder on ur cardiovascular system than any other way of getting nicotine, it’s quite literally constantly absorbing as long as you have the pouch in.

Did you get it from growth guys? I had severe complications when is wapped to their reta

Yes I did - but I put it down to my lack of fluid & electrolyte intake - I really don't think it's a quality problem with their product - they have a large following & I know more than a few others here are on their reta - so I'm quite sure we would have heard of more problems or issues

The issue has resolved itself and I'm still using a 20mg reta I bought from them maybe 2 months ago.

I have this exact problem when it comes to caffeine and reta, it turns out I just get bad anxiety and have slight panic attacks from the increased heart rate from the reta and then the bigger boost from the caffeine, had a ECG and some other tests and came back clear, when I work out I don't feel like my heart rates off, Its more like when I'm sitting in a chair on my lunch break at work having the slightly elevated heart rate puts my body into fight or flight. This might not be what your experiencing and may sound silly but I couldn't find anyone with similar experience to mine, mabey yours is similar? I usually resolve this with breathing exercises 4 seconds in 6 out, I know it sounds silly but it 100% worked for me

All the stimulants snd elevated heart rate from reta is an anxiety attack waiting to happen. I think tirz causes smaller increases in heart rate if thats something people are sensitive to. Im on stimulants for adhd and take nicotine in lozenges so id imagine my central nervous system would be over loaded.

My heart rate is actually lower on reta - saw it at 58 a few nights back laying on the couch- haven't seen it this low in years....

Good source for reta?
Upped to 5mg, no appetite suppression at all. Got from Growth guys
I’m using gg Reta and it’s wildly effective. Reta is not known for strong appetite suppression though I have experienced it up until now. I’m down 13.7lbs in under 6 weeks. I’m up to 4mg split into 2 doses per week.

If you eat clean it works much better imo.

Yes...I m running about 3.5 mg now could use a bit more appetite control...I'm thinking about running tirz or cargril parallel to the reta but at a lower dose. Yes I'm definitely eating clean.

I don’t think you should start stacking Tirz with Reta at this point. That’s a later on type thing to do when you’ve been on for years. I think switching over to Tirzepitide might be a better option for you if you struggle with food noise.

How much are you trying to lose?
