DELOAD - im gonna do it

So, fuck it. I'm gonna reload from Sunday to Sunday. I've been training 8 days a week with a day off hear and there....... but being somewhat of an addiction and an essential part of my day and general wellbeing for since 2007, I am not looking forward to it. But that's the addict talking. Common sense wise, I am really looking forward to the physical, mental and nervous system break. And I know once completed and I make my return that I will be 100% better in all aspects........ right ?:)!
 
I am definitely excited for the break. Been a long time. And I know "we" or most of "we" dont do it enough. Gonna try and plan for it every 10 to 12 weeks I think.

Depending on age and intensity you might need it more often. I am 47 and For the past year I would go hard for 6-8 weeks and then Deload for a week. (3 workouts and nothing to failure). I made steady progress. Then I got greedy an skipped the deload week, I got run down, little injuries started appearing and then my back went. I missed 3 weeks of training.

Lesson learned...the road forward should not always be a straight line.

38 yrs and go pretty hard while in the gym. Gonna be nice I think in ever way to relax. The more I think about it........
