Air hunger

Started my first testosterone cycle, 400mg per week of Test pinned ED. The problem is that since starting I've had air hunger/shortness of breath (I feel like I can't get a satisfying deep breath). This is really annoying. I went to the ER and had a cardiologist run a battery of tests: everything is fine, no issues. This seriously makes me doubt continuing because I don't think I could handle this side effect for an entire cycle of 15 weeks. Would there be any solution that is not going down to TRT doses of test ? Does it eventually go away ?

How slowly did you titrate up to your 400mg dose? If i ramp up to quickly I get anxiety. I need to climb 50mg to 100mg per week

straight 400mg per week no titration but I dont feel that much anxious
For me if I just pound huge doses my body reacts like it has no idea what the fuck is going on. I have diagnosed anxiety so I usually lump a lot of different symptoms into it but the air hunger thing your talking about is something I get when im anxious or stressed out. Id stop everything and start out low and slow like 100mg and add 100 to it each week

Stats like Height weight age? First cycle 400 is alot in my opinion I usually recommend 200 for a first cycle. You could also have sensitivity to the oil, any other diest or environmental changes like mold exposure etc? hard to say but if you feel asthmatic maybe pull the test back out.

If you are a few weeks in you might need some estrogen control. That is one of the sides of high estrogen for me. Find it more diffficult to get in a full breath. I figure it’s because I get some water retention from the higher estrogen.

I take some Adex over a couple days, problem solved.

I have also had this happen with high hemocrit. Donated blood and was fine.

Had the same thing happen to me. Purely anxiety bro. Hate it or love it but if you want to commit to it you gotta push past the anxiety.
Have you pulled labs? Those markers could also play a huge role in pinpointing the cause, which I’m sure some of the more knowledgeable folks could share their insight on

My guess is if its his first cycle ever theres nothing that would be causing that its too soon for high henatocrit. Id say either anxiety or maybe high blood pressure from water retention. Check your blood pressure and if its fine you should be good to go.

BP is absolutely fine I check it daily

I hate to jump on the pile. But its likely anxiety related. Anxiety can present in many different ways mentally and physically and isnt always obvious. If your dealing with anxiety already or genetically predisposed increases testosterone can certainly heighten it. If your bloodwork looks good and bp good either go down to 200 per week and see how you feel, if over several weeks your good ho up 50, if first cycle even getting to 300 you should make good gains. Or also nothing wrong with deciding Peds are not the right fit and just staying off.

On my first injection I passed out. Second one damn near. By the third one I started getting really strong so I was looking forward to it! It still turned my stomach though.

Exactly what you said haha. It’s also my first cycle 400 test gave me high bp from water retention and the general anxiety. Spot on

I get heavy breathing off compounds like tren, never off test or anything though.

Maybe ur just prone to it, doing more cardio helps.

I can only tell you what I know based on my experiences. I am not sure if this has anything to do with the testosterone / and no one here does either. Doesn't make anyone wrong - lots of excellent guesses just like mine is.
How many shots did you take so far, do you mind me asking what ester but I still don't think it is the testosterone. I agree with @Bigbear - always possible that your body is not used to something and this is a reaction but shortness of breath? Also agree with @storman (no disrespect to anyone else as I did not read every response) - could be what they refer to test flu, but since I never had it I can't confirm if that is a normal response.
Did the cardiologist set you up with a pumonologist? Cardiologist makes sense, but you could be having a minor asthma type reaction to the ester / compound. The tests don't take long and then a pulmonolist reads the results. I had the same twice and there was no reason determines and it went away. I saw a cardiologist and a pulmonologist in reverse order as I have a touch of asthma that can flare up. That feeling that you can still breath but are a little out of breath or can't get a good deep breath - that is what I felt. Like many things in life, no answer every provided but I had blood work done, chest X-ray, multiple cardiology and pulmonology tests done.
If you have a GP, go see him/her and tell them and they will have the ER report and if they will want you to see a pulmonologist (or should) and probably give you something to open up your 'tubes' to your lungs - that is a medical term lol. They may give you a combo product that helps with inflammation and also widens your airways to help taking a deep breath easier. The doctor will know what is best. I have a dual action inhaler and what is referred to as a rescue inhaler but luckily it is not required all the time.

Do you have a partner who can tell you if you are having any issues lately with snoring or typical sleep apnea symptoms? I don't think that is it but it is worth contemplating.

Best of luck
