Bandit’s Contest Prep Log - 18 & 20 weeks out

Also shout out/thank you @Jussik for enjoying (a couple too many) rolls of sushi with me after the show. It was so amazing to meet you. I don’t know if you guys will believe it but she might be as crazy about bodybuilding as I am… it’s a little scary lol.
I’m glad I had a reason to enjoy some fun food instead of heading back to the air bnb for chicken and rice post show which I most certainly would have done otherwise haha.
I've been exposed 🤭 Everyone needs to stay tuned in for round two at King Kong, I'm sure the final look will be even better!

Thought you guys would enjoy this

Dang sir....wow! Nice work!!!

Judged sports are mind-boggling. Never know what the judges may value and it seems to ebb and flow in bodybuilding more than anything. Then there's the political factor sometimes as well...its frustrating.

Focus on the things you can control....try to forget the things you can't.

Very very impressive showing sir. Hats off!

Thanks man!

Theres definitely no political factor going on here haha. It's simple, he beat me in more criteria then i beat him on. I only had conditioning on him and he was good enough in other criteria to take the edge over me !

I saw you say that....which is wonderful to hear... just was listing some of the conmon frustrations experienced by competitors. It sonetimes adds more layers to an already very difficult sport to compete in.

Regardless...outstanding effort.

2 days post show & about 1.5 weeks out from show #2.

Weight - 195.8lbs

Officially registered for King Kong as of last night.

Coach sent out a revised plan yesterday. Despite being set back by “size” in the previous show we both agreed that pushing for a little more conditioning in this next show is the best approach and I’ll explain why.
1.) in this show, I will be competing in an actual LHW class (assuming enough athletes register). That being said, I won’t have to worry about being drastically out muscled by HW & SHW competitors in my class. That being said, pushing for a more conditioned look will likely give me more of an advantage than trying to come in fuller but sacrificing condition.
2.) For the sake of the post show rebound. I want to be HUNGRY and super sensitive to grow post show. Pulling my body fat down as far as possible is going to give me the environment for growth coming out of the competition season.

Plan updates

10 days out - Not done yet!

Weight - 191.4lbs

Not too much to update on. Scale trending downward daily after getting back to the base plan post show. Checked in today. Continuing to run the base plan for the next few days with the direction to check in early if the scale drops to 189.0.

7 days out

Weight - 189.6lbs

Pushing hard for more conditioning right now and feeling it. Without a doubt dealing with the most fatigue of the entire prep this week. Coach says I don't look flat yet so he wants to push to a new low weight to see how it looks. That will also give us more room to fill out going into the show. Conditioning has noticeably improved this week. Finally hurts to sit down.

Cognitive function pretty low atm so these upcoming updates probably wont be very detailed.

6 days out

Weight - 187.8lbs

Feeling like death but coach says I’m not flat so we’re pushing harder.

Pulled carbs from one meal.
Added 10 mins cardio (35 mins fasted)

Without a doubt have reached a new level of conditioning and I am FEELING it. I want to bring my best and am willing to do what it takes but I’d be lying if I said I was enjoying this right now 😂. Waking up every day hoping he feeds me.

Without naming any labs, I speculate theres something a little “fishy” about the mast prop I was using this entire prep. I opted for prop as I didn’t have enough mast E to make it through the entire prep and wanted to ensure consistency. After show number 1 I dipped in to my mast E stash and almost immediately I noticed visual changes. Again, this is all speculation, however I’d like to think I’m quite in tune with my body and can pick up on things like this.

Switching from prop to enenthate the only immediate difference you shouldve noticed is the prop dying out in 3-4 days max. The enenthate wouldnt be built up fast enough to deliver results that quick. You would have a gap of no mast or really low mast levels in your system before the ramp up.
I think your noticing the dip in mast.
But mayne its not what its supposed to be from the start either🤷🏻‍♂️dunno. Just going by esters. Maybe the oil brew isnt received as well as the second brand too. A few variables.

Whatever is going on my look is improving so I can’t complain I guess

4 days out.

Another significant drop in weight despite feeding up yesterday

Weight - 184.4lbs. Honestly feeling pretty damn good today though. Sleep quality was improved compared to previous days.

No cardio.
All meals at 35P/75C/7F today which is actually less than yesterday.

He wants a check in 90 mins post M1 & 1L fluid. Not sure if he plans to make adjustments based on the check in.

Rest day from the gym, going for a massage this afternoon.

Tomorrow will be my last chest/shoulder day, wednesday will be arms.

3 days out.

Weight - 184.4lbs (identical to yesterday)

We ended up pushing a bunch of fluid yesterday (10.5L) and I believe the plan is to do the same today.

Yesterday turned out to be extremely challenging fatigue wise despite waking up feeling good and being a rest day with no cardio. By mid day I was struggling significantly both cognitively and physically.
I’ve also been going hypo quite frequently over the past couple days. Not dangerously low, but low enough to feel uncomfortable. (Low 3.0s about 60-90 mins after a meal). Coach bumped the fats to 15g for the final meal and that seemed to help.

Currently waiting for my coaches response to see what the plan is for the day.
