Bandit’s Contest Prep Log - 18 & 20 weeks out

Getting nervous yet? Seriously - not being an ass. Being your first and the effort you put in, as the days become closer, if it was me I would be getting pretty worked up, excited or nervous. I'm hyper competitive and get the impression you are as well so if I know I have an event coming up as it draws closer I get anxious. In some ways, in the sports I have competed in it is a good thing - released some flight or fight hormones for a boost of energy. Not good if chronic, but right before it could be a good thing.
All waiting/watching with you. Go kick some butt!

Mixed bag of emotions. Nervous and excited equally. I feel blessed with the amount of support I have going into the show. I’m settled into my air bnb now, and a buddy of mine stopped by to help me get settled in and just kick back in general. That was a huge stress relief to have someone here

My coach flies in today which will take a lot of stress off my shoulders. He’ll be able to guide me in making sure we’re checking all the boxes going into the show.

2 days out

Weight - 189.4 (+2.8lbs) - yesterdays food stuck much better.

Coach says he his goal yesterday was to push the food to see if he could find where it was too much and where my spilling point was. He says he’s pleased with the look this morning.

My self analysis is that I’m definitely holding a layer of water this morning, nothing extreme but noticeably not as tight as the previous few days. All things considered, the extra, stress of travelling to the show and just being out of routine in general, im very happy with how my bodies looking this morning. I was expecting a far more “stressed out” look.

Direction today so far is as follows
First 3 meals will be 25P/80C/5F
6L fluid.
Check ins 60 mins after M1 and 500mL fluid.

Checked in after M1

Proceed with the same macros for M2 & M3.

Checking in 60 mins after M3, which will be post workout.

Last gym session before the show. Just a simple arm day

Will obviously just be chasing a pump

3 bicep
3 tricep
2 sets each.

Going to Pure Muscle & Fitness, conveniently 15 mins from my Air Bnb.

Good luck.

Make sure to sell yourself out there. If two of you are similar the one who sells it will win.

What flavour whey man come on.

It's just about go time.
Relax, get your feet up. Soak it all in.
The last several months have brought to to this moment, enjoy it brother. You've earned it and as cliche as it sounds you're already a champion, a 1% 'er. You've done something few will ever experience. You should feel accomplished and proud.

Thanks man. Definitely feeling good about it.

I’ve had several people including my coach see me in person now and validate that I am in deed in shape. That’s definitely taken a lot of weight off my shoulders
