Oh I know mate. Dead like me was probably the first I saw and was like “hey”. Altered Carbon was a recent one. I realised a dead giveaway is usually Washington plates on the cars.

Not sure if this movie has been mentioned yet, Hostiles on Netflix with Christian Bale. This is by far the best movie I have seen all year, absolutely amazing! I’m keeping it in my list because I’m definitely watching it again.

Some decent Netflix made content I saw recently.

The last kingdom. - a lot like Vikings and just as good imo

The outlaw king - pretty much braveheart 2, takes place after the English killed William Wallace. Slow at times, but some decent fighting scenes in there.

I just watched the movie Black 47. Story about an Irish deserter from the English army who returns to Ireland to find his country ravaged by the potato famine of the 1840s. Shit happens and he gets pissed, and is very good at killing people. The English don't like this much and send one of his former army mates to track him down and execute him. This movie reminds me of the best films before CGI and superheros. Great story, great acting, and real life situations. I also learned some things by looking up matters mentioned in the movie (ie. take/took the soup) This is worth a watch. 8.5/10

There's some good movies in here BunkMass, thanks. I'm not much for the Hollywood movies any longer and haven't been for a while and the reviews on these look impressive.

I’ve been meaning to watch The Last Kingdom for a while. I started reading the book series like 13 years ago and they’re still going.
