Why should you eat whilst on Anavar?

I’ve done test only bulk and cut cycles in the past, but now I am adding Anavar into the mix for the first time. I couldn’t find much valuable information online on this topic. I understand I should cut down on saturated fats due to the effect Anavar has on cholesterol, but is there anything else that is crucial to know? Like, specific foods to avoid/eat? Is there a holy grail diet for this cycle? Do carbs have a change in importance? etc

Eat clean stuff like oats, fruit, veggies, lean meat, and healthy fats. Try not to go crazy on fatty meats, fried food, or junk. For supps, fish oil (make sure you’re getting real EPA/DHA), and psyllium husk helps a lot with lowering bad cholesterol take 5g once a day to start and then add in another 5g a week later. Take it with 750ml of water. Citrus bergamot is also a good add if you want extra support and add in a liver support (NAC, Milk Thistle, TUDCA). Do some steady paced cardio. A few runs or incline walks each week and keeping your steps up goes a long way. Keep it to 5-8 weeks MAX. Anavar will still mess with your cholesterol but if you stay on top of this stuff, you’ll be in way better shape.

Quality food! 😂 Funnyman gave you the key 🔑

Alkylated drugs should be used with caution. Adding in methyl or ethyl to stabilize the molecule is rather toxic long term however depends on application. I distinctly remember reading study on AIDS patients well over a decade ago with a dosage of 300mg/day for 6mths of anadrol. Yea there were some side effects however the benefits outweighed the results. Pretty amazing on the gain of lean tissue actually. Kind of hard to deny them the attempt, they were terminal so WTF why not try. 100mg/day brought a shitty feeling inside me but 75 didn’t. Everyone is different.

There is no magic to this - do not eat (I don't believe in cheat meals / eating fast food / junk good) any of those period. @Funnyman can help put together a diet that is nutritious, provides what you need and tastes good. Good quality food can taste good too. Sugar free ketchup, I love nuts, love pineapple (great for inflammation too), a smoothie can be both nutritious/fast absorbing/and tastes great.
If you want to talk more about foods - we can get into it in more detail but now I generally eat the same all the time. I admit when pushing it at the gym and want to grow or taking more PED's, I will increase the amount I eat and anyone who says you can't do a lean bulk is full of shit. You can, and you may put on some BF but you don't have to become a bloated guy with a gut and then cut later.
If your output goes up on Oxandrolone - consider your goals - you may want to take advantage of the extra boost and eat more. Eating more if eating healthy is not a bad habit.
I will give you my opinion on some basics to protect your liver/kidneys/lipids on but will keep it very basic. If you want to go deep in the supplement topic, we can but don't want to derail your thread:
Quality fish oil and increase it as much as you need to control cholesterol, BP, etc. - I recommend Carleson's and it isn't cheap but it is great fish oil.
Astragalus - take 3 pills if each pill is 500-600 mg twice a day to help protect the kidneys, plus it is a good adaptogen and good for the immune system.
I like Natural Factors Greens Detox - for the Spirulina (proven to protect the kidneys), Phosphatidylcholine (excellent liver protectant), and in general had a lot of great products that provide minerals/vitamins needed for health and a shit load more products that protect the kidneys/liver albeit in small dosages hence....
NAC or SAMe - excellent liver protectant as both force the body to produce more glutathione which is the mother of all antioxidants. NAC is used for liver toxicity due to Tylenol and some Mushroom poisoning so it is not a guess if it worth it. SAMe has been proven to do the same as NAC and more, but it is not cheap.
Raw Ginger - inflammation is your enemy when it comes to organs and ginger not only protects your liver - proven in studies I posted in the health section, it is a potent anti-inflammatory and raw (cheap at the grocery store). Just cut off a chunk 2-3 times a day and eat it. Again study has proved raw is better than powder products.
The best 3 liver products I have used (for me) without going nuts on liver supplements are Phosphatidylcholone, NAC or SAMe, and ginger. PC saved every baboon's liver when given this supplement from toxic alcohol which is very hard on the liver. The ones gives PC lived and the ones that didn't died of cirrhosis. One of the closest and cruel studies to humans ever done. They turned them into alcoholics and then cut off the PC for the ones that lived and they died too. Showing what I have been preaching - side effects are not just now - what will occur in a year or 5? Hence moderation with any PED.
To cap it off - melatonin is an incredible supplement (hormone) - dual action 10 mg (20 mg minimum during use) - it was proven to work better than NAC and vitamin E for liver toxicity in lower dosages. I expect this will be used in hospitals soon for liver poisoning if a pharmacy can make it as it worked better than the standard NAC infusions. It helps you sleep which is needed for recovery/organs/muscles, plus it is a potent anti-inflammatory.

All just opinion based on experience. I am leaving some required supplements out like Vit K - but I don't want to bore you writing a dissertation.
