So was sitting in my truck today at the butchers chatting on the phone.

I look over and this guy is screaming at this lady and then he grabs her and starts pulling her away. So I end my call and get out of the truck and yell hey at this guy. He looks at me like a deer in the headlights but the turns and starts back at her and grabbing her arms. She’s crying so I ask are you ok ? Nothing from her.

I say buddy get your hands off her. He stops for a second then proceeds to yell.

I don’t know what to do so I go in the butchers and tell them to maybe call the cops. We go outside and she’s walking back next door with him.

This is why I question why we should step in. Guy is screaming and yelling and being rough with her then she walks away with him.

They were middle eastern so not sure if this is a cultural thing, if it is could someone enlighten me ?

Today it's best you call the cops. You get involved the dude or the lady might pull a knife on you. Or you could shove him and be charged. There are to many possible negative out comes to be anyone's white Knight

Personally I'd probably mind my own business unless there were weapons or legit beat downs are something like that then I'd call the cops and it's possible I might just continue to mind my own business even then, like bull said to many possible negatives to being a white knight.

It’s tough for me as adrenaline takes over a bit, and every now and then I do think about drifting someone in the face.

If she is not being battered....ME types sometimes feel more”ownership”of their women....

I'd just call the cops unless she was getting hit or if I had suspicion she was being kidnapped/raped/molester..

Because she wasn't screaming for help I assume she wasn't being kidnapped or raped.

I would address both with an innocuous but inquisitive question such as, "Are you guys alright?"
Meanwhile my finger would be ready to press 911.

I am a firm believer in minding my own business for the most part. I’d assess whether or not he was a stranger to her, and if I believed she was being robbed/about to be raped, then I’d call the cops. If I assessed that they were together and then he started hitting her, I’d also call the cops

I’d get involved.

I’m not saying hands on but I would certainly be asking questions and wouldn’t be leaving it until I was satisfied the woman was absolutely ok and the police arrived to deal with it.

She doesn’t answer me I follow until I can’t and document until I can’t and then feed to the police.

Something ain’t right about that situation.

It’s always been very hard for me not to step in. I suddenly think I’m bullet/knife proof. This one seemed like no harm no foul but I’m sure she got what for when they got home.

I stepped in once when a guy was roughing up his old lady. When i was trying to break it up, he through a sucker punch on me. I put him to sleep with 1 right hand but his k9 tooth shredded my hand up. Shit got so infected. And the girl was furious at me for hurting her boyfriend

It’s a fine line and approach but you can (most times) get involved with something like that without stepping in.... if that makes sense.

I don’t want to stick my big shrek like nose in where it doesn’t belong either but a guy grabbing a woman and her crying? That’s beyond tiff or spat that’s gotten a little too loud for a public place and something really bad is probably going to happen when they get out of the public eye.
