Do you mind me asking if you are going to use this company 7 days a week for all your meals? If you already said the answer to that question - apologies.
Curious the difference in price vs. buying and preparing yourself. Seems like a great idea if you can take that prep time and use it in your job and make more money / more time for other things. Sort of pays for itself. I find it hard when work is 12 hours a day to find enough time to prep good meals and often find I am looking for 'faster' meals which is not the best system.
I don't know of one company here that does this but if there isn't, there should be.
That’s the idea my friend, maybe I add a thing here or there like if I want a bit more carbs I add an extra serving of rice or veggie that I make myself as an example or I cook a meal on my rest day let’s say but yes that’s the idea, I used to spend a lot of time shopping and cooking and prepping 20/30 meals at a time and and obsessing over that aspect of my life cause I really like shit to be precise and then my kitchen would be a war zone all the time and it would take my whole rest day now all that time and effort I can use for earning, I make good money (not to brag just explaining why it’s worth it for me) so exactly what you said I can justify it because I can make the money in the time I would spend doing all that plus time is money as well, I can go spend some time with my niece rather then prepping chicken just as an example. kind of the same logic of why I have a house keeper, I get a lot of people would think that’s stupid and it’s definitely not cheaper by any means but I’m happy and I’m very frugal so I figure this is my splurge and it’s healthy and beneficial so it’s a win win
I had been looking for a meal prep company for a long time that was specifically designed for body builders, I see a lot of them in the USA but not really here and this company is associated with a big name gym that advertises itself as one of if not the best gym in Canada (never been) and I did an extensive deep dive into there ingredients, cooking process, how they list macros spoke to the owner etc etc and I’m very happy
They offer “every day meals” and they offer “prep packs” so basically you can buy pre made meals or you can buy meat, various carbs and veggies set up how you like it or you can also buy like just portions of the pre cooked ingredients and they will literally customize anything for you as well if your buying over a certain amount of packs
Salmon
Tilapia
Bison steaks and ground
Extra lean ground beef
Ground turkey and breast
Chicken legs and breasts
Steak
Those are the proteins they have I may have missed one or two for carbs they have quinoa, white and brown rice, sweet potatoes, yellow potatoes and they have an assortment of veg
As far as the price difference, I have extensively crunched the numbers and it’s about $5-$8 more to buy it this way then if I went out and shopped and bought the ingredients and prepped them, I can see why a lot of people would think that’s stupid but for me personally I’m very happy with it, some people go out to the bar on the weekend or they have photography as a hobby (just as an example lol) I really don’t spend money I just save it so I can also justify this with that logic and it’s for my health same way I don’t cheap out on supplements
