My foster dad was a cop. He actually tried getting me to be one lol. He said to choose my friends wisely cause it's about a 50/50 ratio of corrupt cops vs good cops.
I had this one professor when I was in university who was also a cop while teaching classes.
Him and his squad were under investigation for doing a raid without warrants and shooting the guys dog.
They claimed he was a high profile gangster and drug dealer and they were acting within their right because... I forget their excuse for going inside without a warrant... They then entered and claimed they got attacked by a dog so they had to shoot it.
Soooooo here's what actually happened. :p

They didn't know his whole house was covered in cameras. So they pulled over rushed the house, kicked in the door, shot the dog, who wasn't attacking but just barking, turned the corner guns blazing, pointing forward and seen people so they screamed freeze... Paused....it was a dozen 8 year olds. It was the owners daughter's birthday and they were having a birthday party.
The cops were fucked lol
In class he was like trying to defend himself about the allegations... to us ... Students.... Lol if that doesn't say shifty idk what does. I never heard what the end result was but it was prob a slap on the wrist.

I gotta say it though, you know what you signed up for! Like joining the military and then getting upset when u gotta kill people or get severely injured. Death is a possibility aswell. U know what your signing up for. Dont join a gang and not expect to do illegal shit, lol.

I agree man but also when it comes to saving lives that's a very good excuse to keep fighting through the bullshit and keep going to work. The same with having kids, you can't be a 100% good father if your risking dying over seas but those guys deserve to have family's too. It's a really hard bargain but to save lives I think some sacrifice is warranted. That goes for cops too. Once again this doesn't apply to politicians if it did they would just lie, break the rules and cover it up anyway lol

I knew a few that taught at colleges and they fucked up bad or were too afraid to do the job. Most of the time a lot of the big fuck ups go and teach at the academy since they are so hard to fire.

A cop coaches all of my kids sports and he’s super nice. Like Flanders level nice, but he’s a crime scene guy so it’s not a regular street cop.
 
The only ones who could do those jobs and not become assholes would be psychopaths. They make up like 5 % of the population and probably do have some of those jobs but it's not good for anyone.

Funny enough, in criminology they say that cops and criminals are of the same mind. You basically just choose a team.
They talked about the same thing, "psychopaths are very hard to come by so even though that's the main thing we teach us this course and you might be like omg my friend is just like that, well their probably not because they make up a small percentage. But what jobs do psychopaths tend to go for?"

we are in criminology, most of the guys in class will become cops, you just openly said lots of cops are psychopaths yet ur saying you doubt we know anyone who is? Lol I went to a dumb university. My sociology teacher didn't believe in biology. How do u not 'believe' in biology?

You'd be surprised man psychopaths are pretty common. You definitely know some directly or indirectly. Not necessarily homicidal but drug dealers, thrives, pimps, probably rich narcissistic corporate ceos that wipe out 50000 people with oxycontin then lie about it for the money. Yea your right they would be useful in police or military for there's calisnous but it's a sickness really and they don't have great survival skills. They usually get beaten killed or controlled by the rest of society I.e in jails or justice system, everyday interactions and conflicts etc..

Cops are the armed and backed compliance enforcement of the government. They're not here to help you, they're here to force you into submission. A government sanctioned street gang.

And 99.99% of them are larpy wannabe army faggots who live out these heroic action fantasies in their heads and use being a cop as having that chance to role play that fantasy out.

Just tell a cop no and see what happens. They'll threaten you with arrest at least, they HATE being told no as an answer.

I've taken a few of the tests that determine if you're a psycho or not and all signs point to yes, but I'm a nice guy so we're not all that bad. It's all about being able to recognize and manage it.

Psychopath just means you have ASPD, it does not mean you are prone to doing evil things. Hollywood just glorifies it by associating it with evil. If you have this you can learn to mimic socially acceptable traits such as empathy and remorse, and look to generally accepted norms for what's considered right or wrong, safe, responsible, and to catch yourself when you are manipulating others unintentionally.

The psychopaths you're talking about that do bad things like corrupt cops and politicians and such are all just assholes.

lol, I never really read much about ASPD, but after reading your paragraph I might be touched with it lol... Is there degrees of it? Or if you got it, its the full package?

I ask because I'm basically the paragraph you describe at work and most other areas.. I'm much better with kids (my own and others) in terms of I wouldn't say your paragraph describes how I am with kids..

I'll give an example.. A switch flips in my head when I've decided someone is selfish to me. Like I cut that person out of my life and feel no emotion about it. I do this in another way in that the second a person I know moves away or I move away from them, I never contact them again. I've had zero contact with the closest people in my 40 odd years the second I moved away from them or they move from me. Its just like "out of sight out of mind".

I have trouble putting someone in the category of friend in my brain as well. Most people who know me would say I have 3 friends. But I look at those 3 friends and can give you a decent size list of why I really question that I consider them a good friend. Again, seems to go back to them a couple times not understanding a freindship is a 2 way street.

I'm going to read more about ASPD... My wife has some wild accusations about me and how my brain works when it comes to relationships (with anyone, not just her) and how I expect social norms should be etc..

There is still a difference between aspd and psychopathy. One being you still maintain a very strong love for your family and pets. Pets was a big one I remember reading about antisocial criminals seeking out more pets over human relationships. I'm not an expert and I'm pretty anti social as well, ex criminal ex addict etc but you've slways seemed kind, generous and brutally honest when you post about things.
 
Sociopathy displays more anger and hostility. They are not able to mimic societal norms and they fly off the handle easily. They also can't generally maintain relationships, families, work life, etc. Psycho's can do all the above because they can mimic

But both Socio and Psycho are not medical diagnosis. They're blanket terms and these people all fall somewhere on the ASPD spectrum. You may have some but not all traits.

I read a lot about all this back in the day and talked to someone qualified as I wanted to understand myself, and more importantly learn how to take advantage of the traits I do have, and learn how to disguise them to blend in a bit better so I can be more functional in society.

If you google ASPD tests they'll pop up. I originally did some tests many years ago with a person though. I did some online ones randomly here and there to see if anything changed but looks like I'm still good to go 😱

More people fall into this spectrum than we realize. People are just not tested for it unless they show frequent anger, hostility, violence, other "evil" traits, etc

It's like how no kids had ADHD back when I was in school but they all seem to have it now.

I'll start :p
At the gym yesterday, I just went to do abs and cardio cause my wrist.
So there's this girl who was new, I could tell she was young, like 17-22. So I was like just ignore her, just ignore her. Then I just had to open my big mouth when she put on glasses. I just caught the opening so fast it was like instinct. I was like fuck! So she left the gym with me and we walked towards our places. She lives right by me, great...and she's from Ukraine, just moved here on her own. Jsuk the guy to girl ratio out there is like 7 girls for every 4 guys. So it's hard for a girl to get a guy out there. Probably even worse now with the war.

So because she's so young, I been ignoring her the last few weeks. She's quite cute, actually very cute, so I didnt think she'd noticed much.
But yesterday, I got out of the guys change room and I was walking past the family change room and a girl in her twenties was being dragged (playfully) into one of the group change rooms by a guy-i wonder what they were about to do 😏- but she was wearing those like G-string bikini bottoms and as I was walking by my eyes were locked on her ass, so my head wasnt moving with my body.
Then I look forward and see that cute, ukrainian, young girl; she was walking up to me to say hi. There's a stairway that leads to the gym on the opposite side of this long hallway but she walked away from it to say hi to me, and she totally caught me creeping on the other girl.
I was like 'o hey what's up?',
she had a huge grin on her face so I got a huge grin too, I was thinking she thought it was funny and would be chill about it. But I guess my grin confirmed what she thought she saw me doing so she's like well 'bye' turned back around and walked all the way down the hallway to go to the gym. So I don't think I gotta worry if I'm being rude ignoring her now, I think she will be doing the same thing.
