I have compiled a mailing list of all of the gyms in the major cities in Canada and will be over the next week or so sending each of them a custom email to invite them to post about their gyms.

When you post please post the gyms name and city they are located in
try not to make duplicate entries. if an entry is there for your gym please add to it.

And please guys help us compile as much information as we can.

Sorry, I live in a small community. If I post the name of it and gym name I wouldn't feel comfortable. If I was in a big city I would.

Ontario, Mississauga, Olympia Muscle and Fitness.

Great gym. Some of the equipment is a little old and creeky but overall great place.

Unfortunately (but fortunately for me) I have a home gym now. I got everything that I need. Plus - with as busy as my schedule has gotten - it is sooooo much more time-saving to run downstairs and train than to make the daily trek to the gym.

I would say that the only small issue I have is having to adjust my Powerblocks when I'm doing a dbell exercise ;)

I hear ya. Our living room is the gym so between sets I’m rummaging through the fridge and cupboards looking for something to munch on :ROFLMAO:

Never been to a gym in my life....always trained at home and have a pretty decent set up now

Sorbate gym.

The weight and equipment selection is fairly good, dumbbells up to 100 lbs and enough plates for 600lbs. You can do pretty much every exercise you need, just missing a few fancy machines, but really do you need them?

Not only can you train with the music fairly high (heavy metal only) in between sets you can open the safe and stare at the gear collection, or walk upstairs and flex for the hottie that hangs out there. Plus there is no waiting for equipment, membership is by invitation only.

Plus if you are lucky a 8 year old boy will train with you and talk non stop thru your workout, good news is he is learning to be quiet while you lift, but still needs some prompting. But he does tell you he is bigger than you, can lift more than you and gets excited when he can 2 hand row what you use for 1 arm laterals, lol. Great motivation for you to push harder, also you get to flex your arm and comment about how it’s pretty much the size of his head, but he keeps growing and his head is getting bigger, so you gotta keep hammering those curls.

Then you have the free wifi, and since everyone knows that you are around during training time, they will text you, or message you, but it’s ok, because you need something to do between sets.

Also you get to flex shirtless, hell pantless if you want in the mirrors and no one will complain. Nor do you need to wipe down equipment if you don’t want to.

The free weight area is air conditioned and heated, unfortunately the machine and cardio area is in the garage so hot as hell in the summer (people walking /driving by and neighbours gawk as you train with the door up, you’ll know what it is like to train at Venice Beach) and freeze in the winter. Cardio in the winter is great though because you start in a sweater, then are in a tank top by the end. Mind you there is a huge fan in the corner for the summer so it’s not all bad. Mosquito repellant is suggested as part of you gym attire in the summer though.

Then when you are done training, the free weight area has a games area, so as you eat your post workout meal, you can play Xbox or PlayStation, and they do have the latest games, plus a lot of the old favorites.

Membership is fairly cheap, traded in labour, like mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, basic maintenance. Plus the hot lady who owns the place lets you sleep with her once in a while.

All in all not a bad gym.
