My Shoulder Results

Damn its been this long since I fucked up my shoulder.

It is still bad. But slowly healing.

Haven’t trained upper body since last september.

Got lazy and stopped training lower body and cardio as well.

So I am just hanging out playing video games and doing rehab exercises and stretches.

Today will be the first day I do cardio in a couple months. I gotta get back into it.

At least train abs and legs, and do cardio.

I am pretty lean though, I’d bet around 11%

Gh for 9 months now is doing its thing, because I am not lean because of diet, lol. Unless a bowl of potato chips and a chocolate bar a day is part of the diet.

I increased my TB and BPC to 1 mg a day about a month ago, and started to use the shockwave machine almost daily.

The impingment is still there, but less, still have weakness.

I know for a fact, that work is not helping. Can’t give it a break.

Hopefully it will be almost healed by the end of next month. I sold my house and bought a new one and I need to move stuff over. I’ll have a moving company move the big stuff, but I will take over all the boxes, weights and such.

The new house is almost double the size so I won’t have to keep a bunch of my equipment in the garage, and even if I had to the garage is like 1000 sqft, lol. Going from 2400 sqft of total living space to 4200 sqft not including the garage.

Is there a chance you have this ?

Nope.

My latest guess is a slap tear. So part of the labrium pulled off where it attaches to the bicep tendon.

It normally doesn’t heal without surgery, but I guess lots of people have a tear there and have no symptoms, so if I can get it to heal to that point I will be fine.

My days of barbell curling 150 lbs for reps and benching heavy weight is over anyways. I only need to look better than the other guys my age, and even after not training for 7 months, I can still do that.

Yes I could go and get an MRI, but really the physio stuff I am doing would be the same no matter what the outcome was, so no point. I don’t have 6 months to not move so it will just have to heal naturally, lol. And surgery isn’t overly successful anyways. In studies there is almost no difference between healing naturally or getting surgery.

I have a labruim tear, small but a mri will let you know how bad it is.
Once you know your chiropractor or physiotherapist can help strengthen all the muscles to stabilize it best possible.
There is prp, I had done to help it a bit. I'm sure if I
went again to have the prp for 1000.00 it would be better.
I forget the prp term, they told me....I would need to look it up.

Dealing with an injury that is getting worse and just found out one Ortho does PRP in this province, but wants to do a MRI before doing anything which will be a year unless there is a cancellation. I could pay for it myself, but I find it so frustrating a legitimate medical issue that impacts my quality of life, can't be done in a reasonable time frame. For all the taxes I pay for the medical system, I will keep pestering them for a cancellation.
I contemplated going and getting more advanced therapy in the US or Toronto. One of my friends, who is semi-pro athlete went to the clinic in Ontario and can't praise it enough.
How much of a difference did you find it made @Funnyman (PRP)? How many times and was it $1,000 per treatment or was that for a number of treatments?
You should be able to get an ortho to do this and have it covered by the medical system in your area. If we have it in this small province, I assume you must too.
@Sorbate - hope you heal soon.

I agree on the MRI depending on how bad it is you can do a fat graft with prp to heal your Labrum. I had it done it was one shot and lasted me 7 years. 2 yrs ago i had both of my shoulders done with bone marrow which is considered 1st generation stem cell..Now my shoulders are at about 90% on my right and about 95% on my left. Just good enough for me to avoid surgery. Cost me 7k total for both shoulders but was worth it. Toughest 2 months of my life.

@Sorbate Ive been dealing with shoulder issues for years now.. every chiro/physo asks me " did you get a MRI" and I have not.. Any doctor I asked told me they wouldn't send me for a MRI and to just go to chiro/physio, take time off from gym etc.. most said that without even examining my shoulder..

I walked into my current doctor a few weeks ago to review blood work and when we were done doing that I said "hey, I haven't mentioned it but I have been dealing wth shoulder issues for years and any chiro/physio I go to has asked me to get a MRI, but I haven't been able to get a doctor to refer me.. I know I could pay for one myself, but I don't think I should have too"... He said "sure, I'll put the request in right now, but expect to wait a year"... I said that was fine..

Not shitting you, I got a message on my "mychart" saying I got a MRI scheduled for this october.. So 5 months from the day he put it in..
