If it a case of constant alternating to limit scar tissue or find a good place and stick with it? Research seems to differ.

I've been pinning the Dorsoglute for the past 6 weeks alternating left and right and have had very little PIP or pain. The only thing I have noticed after last pin is that there's sometimes what feels like a 'knot' - not painful to touch or lumpy it's just there for a few days. Try pin more than .5inch away each time but might have been hitting a very similar spot. Is this a big issue aside from building up scar tissue?

Research seems to suggest that Dorso is most popular and used in the medical world but that the Ventro is actual better and safer.

I have been pinning glutes once and now twice per week for 6 years straight (TRT).

I do move it around (I tend to grab and go and not give it much thought) but personally I think scar tissue is not much of an issue if you keep the volume low (wAy less displacement with .5cc than 2cc) and use smaller pins 25, 27, etc

I agree. I haven't used anything bigger than a 27g for the last few years now. No pain, no scar tissue (that I have noticed), no issues hitting the same place frequently. I also don't go more than 1cc per pin - 1.5 on rare occasions during a blast.

When just doing TRT, I alternate between glutes and delts. On-cycle I alternate between glutes, delts, and lats (and pecs if its only 0.5 cc shot).

Mind you, I stopped running gear for about 15+ years, so that would also be a huge factor in the lack of scar tissue.

How's pinning the lats?

What size do you guys use for delts?

Quads and glutes. One pin per site once a week, so I pin 4 times a week max. I move all around each site as there is lots of surface area to work with.
2cc max per pin, but typically 1 to 1.5.
25g 1 inch pin.

I try not to pin a site more than once per week. I rotate between Quads, Delts and Pecs. Sometimes ill throw glutes in

So alternating between glutes is fine. I go left glute (Monday) and then it doesn't get pinned again till Monday after.

It works good. Only reason I ask is I've noticed a little knot appear recently.

I use 23g 1” for glutes, delts and quads
I use 25g 5/8” for pecs, bis and tris with max volume of 1ml

8 spots with no quads ? Ok I’m interested.

It's not that interesting :) I have more than 8 actually depending on volume mostly, if I use a slin pin I can use any of them except Glutes

Go to spots - Delt, Tri(outer head), Ventro Glute and calves (4 on each side = 8)

Also depending on what's going on Traps, Pecs, Bi's, Tris (other 2 heads) and Glutes

The last time I pinned my left delt (NPP 150 mg / ml. with 25 G. x 1") I had a 1" round bump, approx. 4"-5" down from the shoulder injection spot and it showed up near the brachialis, became red & hot (infection) for a few days. It also seemed to bring on edema (~ 3" x 3" circle x a few mm.) even further down my arm at the top of my forearm where it filled up quite a bit and also lasted a few days. The shoulder spot itself was completely fine.

All sanitation methods were carefully followed. I thought it was strange but monitored it and made sure it didn't get worse. Luckily, it went away on it's own after a few days.

I am just curious if anyone else has had this happen where a problem seemed to travel from the original spot and showed up several inches away from the site?

Thank you,

OD
