How much is too much, for limited membership gym .

Old School Gyms are the best. I started at Mr. Fitness in Etobicoke back in 1988, great atmosphere and lots of original Nautilus equipment (really miss that back pullover machine), paid 400 bucks/year back then and it was really worth it. Too bad Covid took a toll on it and it went under. Gyms like that are what I miss, and am willing to pay top coin mostly for the equipment. Remember Monster gym popped out and had decent line up, dunno if that's the case nowadays. I'm stuck at Goodlife paying 15 bucks by-weekly, mainly for being there for over 15 years. somewhat decent equipment that gets the job done, but way overcrowded especially in the summer time with these broccoli heads getting in the way and being annoying.

Fitness 365 has nice equipment imo, it’s in Etobicoke.

If you do the yearly membership at fitness 365 it’s like sub $50 a month and they have a lot of nice Atlantis and panatta pieces etc etc
Went there the other day when I was in Toronto was actually very shocked especially at the price, I would train there if I lived in Toronto most likely

I recently got a second membership and I love it. One is for a commercial gym right by my office so after work, I can get a quick workout. The other is for a smaller hard-core bodybuilding gym… I just love the atmosphere and that everyone is serious working hard and very friendly. It’s not a big place, but the owner handpicked each piece of equipment.

In total, I’m probably paying $120 a month. Not sure if I’ll maintain it long-term but really enjoy it right now.

So new gym opening in my area, coming in at about 2 x what I currently pay, independent name, yet boasting 300 max limit membership, pics looks nice but nothing to make your draw drop. 24/ 7 access

Does a limited gym membership mean extra dollars for you ?

What your considered max $ for a membership ?
24/7 access is a nice feature. My gym closes at 11pm M-F and at 5pm Sat+Sun

I would like to go to 365. I had a 5 day pass years ago. Trouble is the parking at busy times. There is only one row of parking for the few shops on the complex.

I was super impressed. A lot of nice equipment in there, prime, Atlantis, panatta. What really shocked me is you pay per year it’s like 43$ per month it works out to. I would definitely train there if I lived in the area
