Hammer Strength Machines

I also use them all the time. Allows me to focus on the muscle through various grips and widths, as well as push maximally without a spot or fear of injury. Just another tool in the arsenal.

Love the plate loaded ones.... the chest/shoulder/back machines seem to be the best, haven't used any HS leg equipment though, so can't comment

Back are my favorite, you can really load the weight to it and get a good squeeze

Chest machines I use when I’m going extremely heavy trying to push myself beyond since I train at 3am no spotters around or anyone to save my ass if I do something stupid

As I get older, and joints get more sensitive to injury. I find the hammer strength machines invaluable! The plate loaded ones. Of all brands of gym machines... hammer strength is by far my favorite.

You can just focus on the muscle contraction and not worry about stabilizing.

I prefer dumbbells over barbells for injury avoidance. But they still all have a place in my routine.
Things I used to do barbell on ..like presses.. no 60% of the time DB 30% hammer strength and 10% of my workouts in barbells.

The main thing for me was getting to feel the signs my body was showing me.... learn to not over do things... keep form tight.. and hopefully stay injury free!

I love hammer strength machines! Plate loaded are obviously the best but the cables are darn nice too.

I don't use machines often but i do like the HS plate loaded machines. I prefer all machines that are iso lateral. They really show u your weak side.

I've wanted the iso seated row machine for forever
Every time I see one on Kijiji boom it's on hold with someone going to snag it.
I've never used any others all the gym I've been to all had nautilus equipment

LA fitness and GoodLife here in Edmonton have plenty of hammer strength machines. Other goodlifes accross Canada seem to have the available as well. I use to travel lots for work. The seared row is deff one of my first choices.

I miss using Hammer Strength every other workout for isolation. Current gym doesn't have it. It's mostly free weights. I'm gone back to the basic lifts.

I find them hit or miss.. The gym I go to has a lot of HS stuff.

Some seem to fit my body and some don't.

What I find really irratating is that I'll use one machine one day and it feels great. Feels like it fits, feels like it allows me to move like I naturally wood etc.. Then the next time I go to use it, it just doesn't fit anymore and I can't get it to fit no matter how I adjust it.

Like all machine, if I am using one and I can't get it to fit me perfectly, I get off it before I put any amount of working weight on it. In the past I've used machines when they don't fit just right and it often lead to injuries. I found this especially with hammer strength stuff and the smith machine... The smith machine accounts for the majority of my shoulder injuries in the past.

I love dumbells and barbells becuase I can always get the motion to feel great becuase I can adjust since I'm not locked in

I have never liked Hammer. My old gym brought in half a dozen or so and he had to beg people to use them.
