Do you follow the 3 second rule? Reason I ask is I get mice in my house and well my cat kills them. Now sometimes he eats them and then throws them up on the living room floor. When I see a bit of mouse on the floor I do wipe it up and clean the floor. Now yesterday I am walking with some chicken on a plate and drop the center breast my favorite piece on the ground. It was down less then 3 seconds so of course I pick it up and eat it.

Now would you eat that piece of chicken or chuck it in the garbage?
If it falls in the garbage and you get it within the 3 seconds would you eat it?


 
I'd eat it , if I didn't see mouse parts it's g2g , I have kids this so there is always something nasty on my floor. So yes 3 second rule applies .
 
Chicken breast I would eat, though I would rinse it off. I have dogs so you never know what they get on a clean floor with their feet
 
I'd eat it before one of our 4 cats get it...its survival of the fittest around here and to be honest those little buggers are pretty fit.......lol
 
Man I’ve ate stuff I’ve found on the floor for god knows how long it’s been there. lol I eat stuff at work and falls on my dirty work clothes, I eat that too. No fs givin
 
I have no time limit. I’m always telling my kids and grandkids germs are your friend. I explain that the obsession with using cleaning products that “kill 99.99% of germs” is bad. Germs build antibodies without antibodies the first virus or germ that comes your way kicks your ass because you have no antibodies to fight it off.

My 8 year old grandson got it right away.
 
I’ve ingested a fair amount of dead dinosaur shit and worked in radioactive and carcinogenic environments for most off my life so far. I’m not too phased by germs for the most part.
3 second rule stands, unless it take me longer to find it, then we have extensions to the 3 second rule lol.
