CB current physique update thread

Dang man, nasty chest and traps. What lifts do you focus on for chest?
Thanks man, as always.

Today's workout was typical of the last 3 months or so where I've dialed down volume and noticed better recovery and just better consistent growth, albeit a bit slow, there's far less pleateauing and just a regular uptick on the scale and progressive overload continues without deloads. So; this is it:

2 sets of flat bench 10 reps ideally, when I hit 11 on set two, it goes up 5lb
2 sets of incline DB presses, usually 8-12
overhead tricep extentions, and then dips and then pushdowns, 1 set each
3 sets lateral raises.
That;s it. Pretty much everything is 0 RIR. The volume is low, so I take it a bit farther than I might normally.

Just the most basic stuff, love it. Well it’s working man, stick to it.

Nice thead @DeeKnows (y)

I'll throw in one as I had some pretty gnarly overhead lighting this morning with another light being burnt out. Looked good on the upper chest ;)

Age included or not - you are in impressive condition. Large / vascular / lines. It is not as easy to do it at your age compared to the gents in their 20's, hence I find it even more impressive. We can't see your legs but they are just as impressive from another pic. I recall size/lines/vascularity too.
@BanditNOLIMIT - sorry about your back. Injuries are the worst, do you mind me asking how you herniated a disk and if you are going the surgical route or physio / strengthening the muscles around the area. Was it diagnosed with a MRI and did they give your options for repair?

The guys I know who have herniated disks all had to change their workout routines as it does not go away, you live with it unless you have surgery. Impressive pics for 3 days a week training, but suspect every other aspect of training is down to the last minute detail. I have back injuries but no herniated disks. Are you doing reverse hypers in your back or leg day? Heal quick!

Hey man.

Herniated it in training. Progressively through my offseason as I got heavier, I started to lack hip mobility more and more. I wasn’t ignoring it, I was trying to actively work on it, but I guess I didn’t do a good enough job. As I got stronger, specifically RDLs and leg press, it was putting more stress on my lower back. Eventually it gave in and herniated a disc.

Currently just working with Physio and resting as much as I can. I’m physio is confident that I’ll recover, considering I haven’t lost any strength in the leg. Just in pain. Now it’s just a matter of relieving the inflammation and managing pain. I’ve asked my doctor for a referral to a pain clinic in case I have to go the route of injection therapy. But that is proving to be a long long process. I have no had an MRI done.

Reverse hypers or any sort of extension of the lower back is off the table due to the condition of the injury. When the leg/back are in extension is when the pain occurs. In flexion no concerns. So I can squat fine with no pain, but if I’m on my feet standing for more than a few minutes I experience debilitating pain.
