Keep an eye on eGFR, autoimmune disease medication and high blood pressure has damaged my kidneys. Please note that while the cut off between abnormal and normal for eGFR is 60, below 60 means you have stage 3 kidney disease (if it stays there for more that 3 months). My own opinion is you should be concerned about kidney function if your eGFR falls below 75. There are other things that effect your eGFR too, like intense exercise, high protein diet and creatine supplementation. An Cystatin C test is really the only way for guys like us to get an accurate kidney function reading. It was actually a few members here that brought it to my attention that my kidneys were bad, my doctors even didn't notice, even though I get blood work done every 3 months for the last 10 years. I brought it up with my doctor now I have had an ultrasound done on my kidneys and wait for my appointment with a Nephologist. I will update on my original post after my Nephrologist appointment.
