Anyone do any Yoga ?

Yoga for Big Guys - I like this one because I'm as flexible as concrete, but partly due to being bigger in places that the norms aren't.

Yoga for BJJ is good too and Stephan Kesting has some good video as well. There's enough free stuff on Youtube that I wouldn't buy the full program. I particularly like the stuff on breathing which is crucial in BJJ - especially if you do a lot of inverted/tornado guard (I find it hard to breathe in this position - not that I'm in it a lot).

I stretch regularly and my wife says I'm doing yoga poses. Beats me, Im just stretching.

ive done yoga for about 20 years, not seriously and so has my gal pal. shes a PT and became a certified teacher. id suggest looking at stuff like "beginner hatha men". hatha is kinda the standard basic poses which are a combo of flexibility, balance and calisthenics. everything else is just a advanced variation of this or marketing. not saying they are bad, just hatha is where to start. men and women have different strengths and challenges. too often women gravitate to yoga because their natural flexibility lets them to excel at some things and they neglect things they are weak at like strength or balance. so yoga for men will help you target your own personal challenges better.
one thing i have noticed is that the expensive classes at foofoo studios attract the young hotties and the cheapo community gym drop in classes i go to are full of grannies. cant say yoga has made me a better athlete but it has helped me from being a broken down old man and taught me how to fix myself better.

How old are the grannies?

Hard pass on the hot yoga, I'm already a furnace the last thing I want to do is add more heat, I'm already dreading the +30 days at work, at least -30 you can dress for.

That was my concern, I sleep no sheets and keep the room cold as a polar bears toe nails.

ive had athletic friends say the heat made their muscles and tendons more supple so it helped with flexibility. for me, it raised my temperature dangerously high. i can work in +30C dry alberta summers. 40C humid will kill me
