I have a bacterial tonsillitis and doc put me on amoxicillin 3 g a day but they don't seem to work, I have difficulty swallowing and earache.ni'm also very tired. How long is that infection last?

How long have you been on the amoxicillin because it should start to have an effect after a few days. You didn't have strep throat prior to the infection did you?
I have taken 2g a day since last Wednesday. I might have had a strep throat prior this infection because I waited more than a week before going to the specialist. I was super tired and could barely swallow but the pain was only on the right side.
Are you feeling any better?
I feel more energetic but the earache and sore throat are still there. I took a Celebrex 200 this afternoon and I'm better now.
Bags I have a confession to make ... I kept working out because of the knee and also because I'm coaching my 79 years old neighbor who never worked out but decided to join my gym.
I would be doing the same thing if I wasn't floored and in bed. We are both rather silly in that regard.
