ABMonkey: Go time

Week 15
Training:
I've been tired this week. I also went back to work which could be a factor. Still been lifting heavy with plenty sets but have backed off when I felt I needed to. One more week to go and I didn't want to totally burn out. Think I may jump on PHAT or 531 when I get back.

Physical:
Cycle wise great. Came down with the flu yesterday and still have it today. Hopefully it fucks off soon.
I had noticed that about 1 week into using an AI I came out with a few pimples on shoulders and one or two on the back. Bought some acne treatment and used that but given I now have BW I know this is attributed to fluctuating hormones (bringing my E2 down). Libido is great and solid as rock whenever I wake up during the night/morning haha.

AAS/ancillaries:
Test C250 @ 500/week
HCG @ 750iu/week (missed an EOD so am doing ED this weekend)
Aromasin @ 12.5 EOD
I've stopped the P5P as BW shows my prolactin is now high-in range. I'm a firm believer of take as little as possible so if I dont have to take it, I wont.

Week 16 (final week of cycle)
Weight: 226

Training: I missed gym day over the weekend due to illness. 2 more sessions to go this week before going on vacation. Hit chest today and hit PR on bench. Have legs on Wednesday and will aim for a PR on squat.

Physical: A few things to note here..
  • Had "flu" like symptoms Friday and into Friday night. Sore throat, super achey body all over.
  • Had a few mental things going on which I 'thought' maybe down to hormones changing - kind of like overthinking and having a very busy brain (if that makes sense). Initially I thought it could be down to low E2? (Again, probably overthinking this so not reading too much into it).
  • Morning wood is there constantly, no days off! Libido is still quite high too.
  • Spots have cleared right up

AAS/ancillaries:
- Test C250 @ 500/week
- HCG @ 900iu over Fri-Mon (finishing the vial and because of missing the midweek I thought it wise to do it more over weekend)
- Aromasin @ 12.5 EOD (missed Friday)

Comments
  • I think the mental/off/brain foggy stuff I speak of maybe down the increase in dose/frequency of the HCG, the skipped Asin or low E2. Can anyone offer some insight into this?
Overall it's been a great cycle thus far and just a few days left before 2 weeks off.

PCT
Last pin will be this Thursday and will cease Aromasin the days after. 2 weeks on Thursday I will start Nolvadex at 20mg/day for 6 weeks. Going to give the longer, low dose PCT option a go this time and see how I get on. Feeling confident.

Brain for may be due to disturbances in your sleep. On higher amounts of gear I do not sleep well and can get very foggy (feel stupid). How has your sleep been? Any sleep apnea from the fast weight gain?

Nope, definitely not sleep related. Being sleeping like a log, even flip flopping between day and night shift.

The mind issue has gone... it was pretty fucking weird though - don't think it was AAS related. Probably something to do with the flu I had on friday/Saturday (I took painkillers, naproxen and cold/flu stuff all weekend).

Been away on vacation and had a great week off.. didn't train all week and felt really good getting a break. Training so hard whilst on cycle starting to wear out.

Over one week since last pin (thurs morn) and all ancillaries/AI. Feeling good and all though it sucks coming off after a great cycle PCT should be good and get a good refresh. Will do another proper update in a week or so when training has resumed.

Week 18
Figured a quick update was in order prior to starting first dose of nolva tomorrow. After having been 'off' for 2 weeks the only thing I've noticed thus far is less energy in the gym, which was too be expected. I've restructured my training so there is less volume but weight stays the same. I'm following something based around the PHUL training program.

Pretty sore this week after training but I did have a week off last week and I'm off gear, so recovery will ultimately be not as good. Still training hard and keeping diet back on track. Upping cals and eating more throughout the next few weeks so as to keep all the 'gains'. Come April time the summer cut begins.

Week 19

Weight:225

All going well. Feel good after having been taking nolvadex for just over one week now. Nothing really exciting to report other than having dropped a bunch of volume training wise. Strength is pretty much the same as on cycle I just get sore from training now.

Have been eating like a monster and purposely let diet slip a bit over PCT so cals stay high and hang onto those gains!

The only negative I have noticed is libido is down and boners arent as strong. I have cialis on hand but dont envisage this being an issue as my mrs is well aware of the ins and outs of my use!

Past two workouts have been great. Think mixing the training up is really rewarding... Legs yesterday and chest today. Have incorporated some band work into training and its paying off.

Today's back day was hard worked. Little energy and the weights felt heavy. Ended up dropping one working set. Meadows rows, 1 arm BB rows, pullovers, weighted pullups, shrugs and hypers. Still lots of volume as I find my back responds well to it but... hard fucking work.

Cals are probably hovering around the 4300k mark on a daily basis now, maintaining this bulk for the foreseeable. My weight remains unchanged from coming off cycle. I feel smaller but know that its largely in my head. Seem to be responding well to nolva and no sides to report - my main concern was with brain fog as it's the most commonly reported side but so far so good.

Rock 'n Roll...

Week 20

Weight:219

So finally stopped some weight, was expecting when it was all going to drop off. 6lbs disappeared - from my understanding provided diet and training remains hard and consistant that should be it for the weight loss.

PCT is going really well. Still feel strong in the gym and motivated. Cardio has been pretty high because conditions in the mountains have been great.

I have noticed numbness/tingling/pins and needles in hands and arms sometimes especially waking up. This is a side of nolva AFAIK.

Still using nolvadex 20mg ED. Nearly half way through.

Off to smash chest.

I would like to give you one piece of advice in reference to training. to maximize the muscle tissue retention the intensity must remain as close to that while on the cycle as possible. What does that mean? whatever you do, don't chase the rep range, what i mean by that is if you did 300lbs for 10 reps do NOT adjust the weight to stay in the 10 rep bracket. do not drop the weight to 260lbs to reach your 10 reps. Instead maintain the intensity of 300lbs while reducing the reps if necessary. If that means 300lbs for 6 reps so be it, this stimulates the retention of muscle tissue much more so then staying in the rep range. Obviously once your hormonal axis is restored and back to normal range you can adjust the training however you want. I hope this makes sense and i wish you best of luck in your PCT. Let me know if i can help in any way. XXL

Thanks dude, appreciate the wise words.

I have been doing just that... dropped a bunch of volume as I think I was on the verge of overtraining- sore joints etc but weight has remained the same (I'm actually pushing more weight!). I'm on a strength based program so should (hopefully) continue getting stronger.

Appreciate it.
