Heart Rate

Somewhat new to adding GH to my regimen. It's been a game changer for recovery and well being. But fuck. I often wake up with a resting heart rate on the 90 to 100 range. I've been trying to play with electrolytes. And hydration. But haven't had much luck. When this happens. I take my blood pressure. It's normal. Like 120/80 give or take 5 points. For reference I have titrated up to 4 iu a day before bed. Also running 500 test and 2 mg reta. Originally I suspected it was the reta. But I cut the gh for a few days and heart rate settled. Anyone have any advice? My usual resting rate is in the 65 to 75 range depending.

Multitude of factors but you can counter the gh induced water retention by blocking aldosterone and renin with an ARB. That will help a bit, you can also add in a beta blocker common practice with gh and reta combo. Lower test and add a dht and keep carbs and sodium on the lower end, potatoes over white rice for potassium.

Do all these and you'll probably drop 10 points off the RHR.

I'm at 6iu and 2 mg reta and went from RHR of 50 to 75 basically in 2 weeks time. Added in above regime and back down to about 65 happy there

Actually this is a great question and you would absolutely want to monitor it. May want to skip the ARB and just try a microdose beta blocker. Ultimately a increase in RHR is part of Reta, GH and higher test dose, it's a really good sign your BP is in range.

Actually my cardiologist said it best. The lower your blood pressure the better it is for cardiac longevity so long as your map is above 60, and you're not getting dizzy.

What's your body weight and body fat out of curiosity?

I'm sitting at 235 lbs probably 20 percent body fat at the moment. Yeah. I likely have to go the calcium channel blocker route. As I have asthma and I hear most beta blockers can fuck asthmatics up. I actually had an echo and a 48 hour holster recently and everything was normal. So cardiologist didn't seem worried about the heart rate really. I just hate the feeling.

There are different kinds of beta blockers. They work by targeting and blocking Beta 1 cells (heart) and some also have an effect on Beta 2 cells (lungs). If you have lung disease you would want one that specifically targets beta one cells. The only beta blocker I know of to date that isolates to B1 is Bystolic though it's been a while since I've looked.

As you shed weight and drop body fat RHR will drop substantially as well

Morning, everything @libo says seems bang on, but I was the exact opposite and regardless of what the medical sites say. 90-100 (resting heart rate) is not a sign of good health.
Script HGH in the 2-3 IU a day significantly decreased my RHR and can't tell you 100% why. Call it being careful or paranoid I checked my BP which includes my RHR daily or twice a day for years. I now it do it 3 times a week as I can predict what is going to happen.
My BP went up 10 points from memory. There is a thread here for posting your BP/HR - when I started HGH from the water retention and then it settled down by itself over a few weeks to months.
Ironic but my RHR went down over the years of using PED which included long runs of script HGH from 70 to 45-50. I have the RHR of a long distance runner and I am 230 lbs. I am not a cardio guy other than boxing or fun sparring sports and I am not 10% BF.

These are just facts. If my RHR was in the 100 range - I would be at my doctors to determine why. You wants bouts of high RHR for cardio, but no one should have a RHR of 100 sitting on their ass. It is a sign of bad health - don't care what you look like on the outside, its what your insides are doing that matters when it comes to diseases/longevity. Don't overthink that comment - obese people are unhealthy, people who have mental diseases who either purge or won't eat are not healthy.

While you are waiting for a medication (if needed) or to see your doctor do yourself a favour and take a high quality fish oil in a decent amount per day. 5 grams would be a decent amount to start with (would not hesitate to take 10 grams if needed of combined DHA/EPA - I like Carleson's cod liver oil. It is touted to be as good as aspirin for thinning your blood, reducing platelet clumping. I have used both at the same time, but that is a choice. The health benefits from aspirin (low dose - enteric coated is my preference) are somewhat miraculous. The few times I wanted to reduce my BP with Nigella Sativa / cod liver oil - I started high and as it dropped I reduced my amount.

I will repeat it - @libo already said a lot of things that went through my mind and he is a smart member (understatement), but if your medical system is like ours in this Province it could take 3 weeks to see your doc or longer and I am huge believer in cod liver oil and especially quality high EPA/DHA content like Carleson's. Lots of other supplements work as medicine as well, but I am not a doctor and won't pretend to be. If it isn't obvious - I prefer to treat minor health issues with natural routes but would not hesitate to go on a med if needed.
