What’s your career!

I was told a lot of the time the crane operator gets to sleep on shift. It's encouraged in some places.. Basically he can't come down and in some jobs he's only needed one every 3-4 hours. So instead of tryign to keep him awake (groggy), they encourage them to sleep until needed. Is this true?
Quite the opposite on several sites (and countries) I've worked on. If they're caught snoozing they're canned immediately.

Lol I wish.... not a chance I get caught snoozing I’d be out the door in a split second. There is at no point in my day that I sit around for 3-4 hours. I’m not in the oil field so may be different out there but what I do, the only time you stop is waiting for someone to hook up a load

I'm an underground hard rock miner. I do it all, Muck, Bolt, Drill, Blast. Although most days I start using the word fuck like a comma about half an hour into my shift, I truly love my job. specially during the winter when the weather is shitty outside.

Management in Automotive industry from supplier chain to OEM, thank god now i got out and am in food industry, what a big change that was, very happy to be out of the auto.

Kinda figured with your handle, use cummins insite a lot do you.

No we don’t even have cummins software at the shop haha, my username is that cause I have a 627whp dodge 3500 and really enjoy tinkering on the automotive diesel stuff - preferably dodge

Ran equipment in the oil field. Never enjoyed the oil field life. Currently running a concrete truck in Alberta, pay isnt the greatest so not to sure what my future holds. I do enjoy being around concrete and civil work tho.
