Quite the opposite on several sites (and countries) I've worked on. If they're caught snoozing they're canned immediately.I was told a lot of the time the crane operator gets to sleep on shift. It's encouraged in some places.. Basically he can't come down and in some jobs he's only needed one every 3-4 hours. So instead of tryign to keep him awake (groggy), they encourage them to sleep until needed. Is this true?
