If you get legit RU5881, it is a potent topical solution that blocks scalp androgen receptors from DHT, essentially binding and competing with DHT. I found it worked well, but if you are going to lose your hair you are putting off the inevitable and if taking high amounts of androgen and susceptible to MPB, it will help but not completely stop it. The older you get, if susceptible the more hair loss you may notice.
I have read different info and I am not sure which is correct which drives me nuts. One write up said it failed against prostate cancer but a notable side effect was hair growth. When I read deeper, it did not fail - the company just decided they could use it more effectively (it did not fail in human trials) for hair loss and dermatological problems. The question is if it is that good, why did it not make it to market as minoxidil and propecia are popular treatments. Again, what I read was the company went through a restructuring and this was dropped after the animal studies. It was apparently became an orphan of corporate restructure when:
The Hoechst Acquisition: Roussel-Uclaf was acquired by Hoechst AG, which subsequently shut down the original endocrinology research department.
If it does what it is supposed to do, it should be better than propecia/dutasteride as it doesn't potentially cause sexual and adrogenic side effects like propecia/dutasteride. After reaching the blood stream, it is pretty much inert or so 'should' be safer.
You research a lot so probably know all this anyway.
I am mostly TRT and find it works very well against healthy or slightly higher than normal testosterone levels. As I increase this into the 250 mg range, I get more shedding which stops when I go back to 100-125 mg/week.
NPP and Boldenone are both pretty hair safe from what I have notices. This sort of brings up a topic I was going to start a thread on - anabolic vs. androgenic ratios and side effects like hair loss. sorry,
@CoolRick - getting off topic.
If you feel it is working, excellent. When you say you see results in 3-4 weeks, do you mean less shedding or your hair is thickening.
It is pretty normal for men to go through natural shedding and then your hair grows back, but this only happens so many times and the more often it occurs the slower/thinner the hair may be. I have noticed hair shedding when I increase the amount of testosterone, boldenone, and deca/npp but it goes back to normal when I stop. My 'increase' is nothing compared to what others take.
Small concern with health, but I don't think anyone regardless of the shave/hat comments, wants to lose their hair.
