Thanks Tareau,

I'm 29 years old from western Canada. Been lifting on and off since I was a teen ager, but have been focused on strength training pretty seeiously for the last year or so.

I'm natural so far but working on putting together my first cycle. Been reading alot on the forums, lots of great knowledge out there, so shout out to all the contributors here and there.

I'm 6'8" tall and weight about 267 right now. I think I'm somewhere around 20-25% bf.

One day I would like to be 300 Lbs!

Welcome to CB.

Look forward to seeing your outline for your first cycle. I would concentrate on getting your BF% down to at least 15% before hopping on.

Hey ABMonkey, thanks for your post, I appreciate the tips!

My primary goal is to gain strength, and physique is a secondary thing for me.

I'm planning on running just Test E for my first cycle.

Would you still recommend cutting down even if the primary focus is strength performance? I know high bodyfat isnt the best for E levels, but up until now anytime I try cutting down I feel like I lose strength and thus move away from my goals.

Would love to hear your thoughts! I would 100% agree if my primary focus was on looking good.

Maybe one of the strength folks will be along to comment as I train for physique but generally if you're lower BF% it makes estrogen control easier.

FYI I'm just prepping for my second cycle now (finished 1st just after christmas) and trying to drop down to 10%ish. I started last cycle between 12-13% and ran into zero E problems.

Glad to see you're going for Test only first cycle, you'll see great results provided training and nutrition is on point. What's your PCT look like?

Maybe give it a read, some experienced folk chimed in and you may find some valuable info in there.

@ABMonkey I'll have some arimistane for on cycle AI (Ar1macare) & Nolva for PCT

Going to run a short cycle for my first, was thinking of doing 250 mg Test E every 6 days, for a total of 60 days or about 8.5 weeks.

This would work out to approx 300mg/week which I know is on the lower end of dosages, and also fairly short cycle.

I would have Nolvadex on hand for PCT. I've read that with PCT less drugs means less sides which makes sense to me, but I know everyone has their own preferences.

My primary goal is to hopefully take advantage of improved recovery and gain a small bump in overall strength that I wouldn't normally obtain, and of course any improvement in body comp.

Improvment in mood & libido would also be a great bonus too.

Currently it takes me at least 2-3 days to recover & progress from heavier lifting sessions - squats, press, deadlift, etc. Still going up in weights, but wanting to see what's possible for me.

Thoughts for a first cycle? Open to all advice & comments - thanks everyone!

Firstly, you're going to need a proper AI for on cycle. Aromasin or Arimidex will do the job.. recommend you read up on both and decide which one you want to go with.

Secondly, you're going to want to run Test E/C (any longish ester) for a minimum of 10 weeks to get the most of it. For example my most noticaleable gains were between week 10 and week 16, something to consider. If wanting to do a shorter cycle, look into prop...but that would be a pretty nasty first cycle given you'd be pinning ED/EOD and I believe some prop can carry a significant amount of pip. I'd also consider pinning E3.5 days as opposed to every 6.

Totally agree with you on the PCT front. I ran nolvadex at 20mg for 6 weeks and felt great throughout.

I ran 500/week. Not going to comment on dosage as I believe that's a personal choice. What I will say is the effects of 500 were relatively mild and I experienced zero sides.

Stick around, read read and read!
