After 20 years of using my phone as a watch, I'd rather go back to a watch..

I have noticed men's watch styles are now these huge face watches with 10000x functions etc.. And prices are stupid.. They have deffinitely gone towards more of a fashion thing than a function thing.

I'm looking for a watch that doesn't have a huge face and a simple analog or simple digital display.. I know myself and its going to get wet, a lot.. I guess I need to be able to read the time in the dark as well.

Not interested in spending hundreds either because knowing me, I might get a couple years before I break it doing something outdoors...

I wanted a nice watch for years
I bought in a auction a solid black Burberry
I am very happy with it
I'm so hard on things like shoes, clothes, glovers, glasses etc that I can't justify something nice lol...

I'm thinking of just grabbing a 50$ waterproof watch off amazon and see how she lasts.. I'm guessing I'll wreck it before the low quality shows it's colors.

Id go with a fitbit. I have the luxe. Its small, water proof I paid 150$ for it. It tracks heart rate, resting heart rate, day readiness and exercise recovery, heart rate variability, daily calories burnt, daily steps taken ( also gives awards like ive walked across real deserts and contents based on there size and my steps taken. you can program exercises into it, alarms, timers, stop watch, sinks to phone so you get messages, notifications texts on it, phone calls etc. If you want the time why not grab all the extra benefits with it. And I wear mine to work, gym, boxing every where for at least 3 years now. Imo its paid for itself multiple times by now. I was amazed at how easily it is to overtrain but also how easy it is to program your routines better and avoid it.

Would you laugh if I told you I have the same one?? My wife ordered one for herself from amazona and they accidentily sent 2.. My honest wife contacted them and told them they sent her 2 by accident and they told her to keep it..

I have worn it maybe 20 times and only when i sleep to check my sleeping lol.. I just looked at it and thought "I'll wreck this within a week" and my other thought was I hate technology.. I just want a plain watch..

But maybe I'll wear it and see what happens.. maybe I'll like it and won't destroy it..

Mines low budget but im waiting to upgrade. Pretty soon they will have certified blood pressure and blood sugar monitoring.

If they make one that monitors blood sugar I'd buy in a second..

I just threw my wife's second luxe on the charger.. It seems to delicate.. between the thin little band and it being so techy I can't see it lasting me lol

Mines been through hell and back id say give it a shot. Like I said, boxing, weight lifting, jujitsu, hard labor jobs rain etc and if its just a spare that sits around not like risking wrecking it is a super big deal.

I have tried multiple and unless I get a good one I blow it up within a week or two. Loose my temper and the little shit stops working. No, I'm not joking and the battery is not dead. It is bizarre. I have a drawer of these F'ers that don't work and need to throw them out.

It is the one piece of men's 'jewellery' I wear and like. I don't like huge faces with multiple features. I bought a Bulova men's watch - silver colour that tells the time, has a stop watch function and other buttons that do other things (have to read the manual but have no need for it do anything else, but don't stand out. There are 2 on each side. It is water proof to a depth I will never dive and yes, it is embarrassing how much it cost. I don't spend much money on myself and this is one item I do. I am going on two years without changing the battery and it is still going strong.
They make a quality watch but are not low in cost. Nothing compared to some of the exotic watches, but I wear it because it is looks nice, somewhat plain, and I know it will last / comes with a warranty.
