Who does everyone have for these fights?

I got Cormier in the main event. With Lewis' lack of cardio, and the fact that he often is losing his fights until he lands a KO blow (sometimes), I think Cormier is too much for him. However, wouldn't it be a trip if Lewis got lucky and landed flush on Cormier's jaw and took the title home ;)

For the Weidman vs Jacare, this one's harder to pick. Normally I would've gone for Jacare on this one. He's got heavy hands and his BJJ is some of the best in MMA. Its just that lately Jacare looks like his age is catching up to him. He's turning 39 next month, and he just doesn't seem to be the same Jacare anymore. So I'll have to say Weidman, while adding that this one could still EASILY go the other way. If Jacare gets Weidman on the ground - or if he bounces one flush off of Weidman's jaw - who knows what'll happen.

For the Brunson vs Adesanya fight, I'm going with the Last Style Bender (Adesanya). One reason is because I just don't like Brunson, lol. He just bugs me. I mean, the guy was a cheerleader (seriously, no joke). I also think Adesanya is just in his prime (29 y.o.) and getting better quickly.

Having said that, as much as I don't like Brunson, I have to admit that he can bang. His last 6 winds have all been by KO. Also, Brunson was an NCAA wrestler, and there's been some question as to how Adesanya will fare on the ground against someone with enough skill to hold him down there. So there's always a chance Brunson could take it - but I'm still going with Adesanya.

I'd probably go with Branch over Cannonier, and Eubanks over Modafferi.

Any input? Who ya with?

Cormier got too much in the tank for Lewis. Will take him down, Lewis will get exhausted and then it will go bad for him.

I agree with your comments @Bolton73 but i think Jacare will take it. They are both past their prime, i like both but i think Weidman has take too many brutal kOs.

Others to win: Cannonier, Robertson, Brunson

I agree with all your picks. I would actually say Cormier will finish lewis. It wont go the distance. Brunson doesnt stand a chance in my eyes.

I agree. Unless Lewis lands a lucky bomb, I can't see him being able to last 5 rounds against a grinder like DC. If nothing else, he may even simply collapse due to exhaustion, with one semi-hard shot ending him.

I'm hoping your right with Jacare. Personally, he's one of my favorite fighters - but he's definitely not the same fighter he used to be. I believe that if Whitaker had fought Jacare even just a year or two earlier, he wouldn't have won. Gastellum never would have had a chance against Jacare even just a couple years back.

I know Weidman's getting old too, though. He also suffered a brutal KO against Romero. The losses to Rockhold and Mousasi weren't as bad - but they still took a little something out of him, though. But it just seems that he has a bit more left in the tank than Jacare. It really could go either way, but I'm leaning slightly toward Weidman.

As you know in the fight game, one day you wake up and its just not there anymore ;) But I hope I'm wrong.

I took branch, weidman, adesanya to win and cormier to win by ko,tko
Pays about 5 to 1.. lets go!!

Im glad I was wrong about Jacare. Even still, he's nowhere near the fighter he used to be. Hopefully he can get a shot at the title and one last big payday. But I'd really like to see him hang up his gloves in the near future.

As for Adesanya, he looked great! I can see Dana giving him at least one more big fight before a title shot. Maybe someone like Paulo Costa, Antonio Carlos Junior, Luke Rockhold, Yoel Romero, or even Jacare. If he gets past that, He's probably got himself a title shot.

The Cormier fight was as most Cormier fights are ... boring. I love him as a commentator/analyst - but he's one of my least favorite fighters out there. He's good, but I just don't like watching him fight, lol.

Totally agree about both Jacare and Cormier. Jacare always brings it, i once saw him fight a 90 min submission only fight and he brought it. Cormier is very boring to watch... great guy but not fan friendly style.
