Stocks.

Very good time to buy. Unfortunately I did all my 2018 stock buying. I haven't even looked at my portfolio in awhile. It's too painful right now. I turn on BNN see all the red, and that's all I need to see.

Worst time to buy, don't get fooled by the market, last them the drop the said it's time to buy and still more drop happened.

Take a look at crypto the being in a bear market and all the people that invest lost went from 19k us to almost under 4k us
It's time to sell not buy .

Never take my word am no professional, am just crazy lol

If you're looking for short term gains I wholeheartedly agree. However if you're in it for the long haul (which you should be), when opportunities arise like this you need to capitalize.

I'd always avoid selling in a downturn....unless you bought shitty stocks to start with and theres a real chance the company is going down.

Just bumping this 2yr old thread to see if anyone went shopping in the great dip we just had (are still having..).

What stocks did you get?

I picked up Air Canada and added more to my current holdings.

I’m waiting for another month. With the way work is going I’ll have a big chunk to invest.

I'm up a few thousand in just less than a week with Air Canada stock. Its tempting to sell and rebuy should it drop again but I think I'll hold!

Its a great time for investors.

Sell the original amount then rebuy with the profit. This way you never lose.
True and I normally $ cost avg but I think from the start I rolled the dice with this stock... so may hang on. I have faith. One would think in a couple of years it surpasses its previous high of ~$52.

Once things reopen it will likely.
I’m good at picking a stock, I listen to customers suggestions, but too lazy to ever invest, lol. I have missed out so many times.
I go to the casino and always win. My limit is a roll of quarters and I always walk out with a couple hundred.
I always quit when I win.
Go figure, likely the first time I invest I’ll lose it all, lol.
I never really invested before, but used the money to pay off all my debt.

I'm usually all about long term plays (my other stocks I've had for ~3 years and are long term value holds) but figured I'd take a riskier punt on the AC stock as it was at such a discount.

We'll see how these things play out.

LOL, my amazon stocks were the only things keeping my portfolio in the green over the past month or so.

I have a lot of stocks mostly in gas station & oil and so far I have not had any impact on it. I did get hit hard on airline stocks bomber.

I hold some Suncor shares and they took a big nose dive, worth exactly 50% I paid for them right now.

I have jumped back in very recently. I like the Canadian banks. Don't have the money to take big risks but if I did I would buy cruise lines, airlines and some oil stocks.
