His names Pierozek - little dumpling in polish.
Best decision ever. We found a beat up adult cat in a live trap earlier this year and took them into the shelter and tried to adopt but they were someones and had gotten out, and into a scrap with what we are assuming was a racoon.
It got me by the heart strings though and I adopted this little bastard a week later.
Just the most pure and loving thing I've ever known and I'm so happy we have a long while to enjoy together. He's brave and smart, already taken well to walking on a leash and I take him outside to explore the yard and he loves sitting under the rear window of the car for rides. I have one of those mesh cat backpacks and when I bring it out he jumps right in, likes going for bike rides to the park and chasing bugs.

Absolute cutie. My last pet was a gorgeous pitbull, I have always been more of a dog guy and this is my first time having a kitten. 0 regrets, he's awesome and living in an apartment / both myself and wife being busy it just makes sense.
I've always been a cat guy, had a couple growing up. I'm married now and my wife is allergic to certain breeds. Maybe one day I'll have another but she wants a dog lol

Russian blues and Cornish rex are good for people with allergies, my mother in law is allergic to cats but has a Russian blue and gets on okay.
If youre looking for a dog I had dinner one night with a guy who was a world renowned dog trainer and asked him "what's the best family dog?" And without missing a beat he said the answer is always a well bred Rottweiler or German Shepard. Most loyal and trainable.
He trained elephants and giraffes and worked globally with Belgian Malinois for security forces so the guy knows his stuff. Kind of surprised me, i said something like, "but what about a golden retri" and he cut me off and said, " no, stupid dog". Haha

Another member who jumped up on the list of favorite internet people. Nothing better than rescuing an animal of any kind and providing a caring home. They often make the best pets. Took my last rescue about 1 week to sit, he was an abused dog and would try to sleep standing up because he was always ready to run. Eventually after falling over a dozen times, he decided to sit and try to sleep - same thing, now I ask him if he wants an elevator ride and he runs to me and sits to be picked up and lays down on his back and stares at you while he gets a doggy massage. Sleeps anywhere and will always be overly sensitive but has come a long way.
My other two pure bred protection dogs were not abused and have helped him learn to be a dog and play with toys / play fighting even if he is 1/2 the weight of one, and now 15 lbs lighter of my 7 month old Bouvier.
@ostrichlegs - thanks for giving this cat a home.
