setting off body scanners/ metal detectors at airports

I just got back from St Johns last night and both on the way and the way home, i set off the detectors.
The body scanner in St Johns pin pointed spots on both delts, both hips /waist area.
This isnt the first time this has happened. My hips always seems to set things off. Basically vent glutes.
Anybody else experience this?
Kinda freaky if you start thinking about heavy metals
 
I take it this is where you do most of your pinning ?

Full bodyscan only picks up surface shit - does a surface contour from what I've read. The metal detectors are more sensitive - but still takes
a significant amount of metal for them - maybe the ones you went through were more sensitive.

Don't know how often you go there - maybe next time have a discussion with the people who operate it and ask them about just how sensitive the machine is.

It takes a significant amount of metal to set those off - not what a person would expect from heavy metals or endos....
 
I have had issues with my right vent glute a bunch times. Even with the wands.
Wondered if i had a pin snap off there but i dont remember that happening

Yes that sounds very plausible - Might ask your doc for an xray of the area . Would give you answers. If you find a pin he will probably leave it alone unless you have pain or infection from it. You can't feel anything with some light palpitations of the area ?

nope. Its been setting off those detectors for at least 5 years now

Extremely unlikely. You would know it LOL plus that volume of steel will not set off one of those detectors you walk through. They are no where near as sensitive as the prison system detectors. Those likely will find a broken 21ga 1.5" inside you. Weird man. Have you ever used any Chinese oils like QSC by chance?

Never ordered from them but i used to brew my own like 20 years ago.

I have to ask out of curiosity why would Chinese oils come into play
