Sensitive estradiol testing in Canada

Does anyone have a good way to get a sensitive estradiol blood test in Canada?

Its pretty easy to get the standard estrogen test, but I started Tren and want to see what my actual levels.

I am in Vancouver, worst case I live around 40 minutes from the border and can just get it done in the US. But I'd rather not have figure that out and cross just for sensitive E2 testing.

I got a reply. Looks like its possible but maybe not guarenteed.

"Hi,

Thank you for reaching out.

When completing the intake form, please specifically indicate that you would like a sensitive estradiol (sensitive E2) test instead of the standard estradiol test.

The clinician will review your request and determine whether the requested assay can be ordered.

If you get a standard requisition from your GP they can specify then sensitive test, and anywhere like Dynalife is capable of performing it.

I wish my doctor would, hes lazy though and wont do anything that requires follow up.

Tell him you don't need a follow up, you can view your own lab testing results online through your provinces health portal.

I just completed a blood test using a requisition from teletest and they definitely offer sensitive Estradiol testing. The thing is, it doesnt show up on the standard list, but when you're going through the checkout process it'll give you an opportunity to add several additional tests to your panel (igf1, sensitive Estradiol, PSA, prolactin, etc).

So you selected All Categories then Men's Health. At this stage it asks you to click a card to select, then click continue below.
Did you select Men's Lab Testing or Steroid/ Ped Blood testing? Did you add additional test to your pannel? I'm new with this and want to get additional test that would be needed.
So what was your cost at the end from adding the additional test if don't mind me asking.
Thanks again for your time and help.

I selected the steroid/PED panel, then as you proceed through the checkout you'll get a chance to add from a list of additional tests. Those don't cost extra at teletest itself, but you will pay extra at the lab once you bring the requisition in for your blood draw. For my most recent test, I selected pretty much every available extra (PSA, sensitive E2, IGF1, etc) and i had to pay $260 at the lab. I want to say the sensitive E2 on its own is around $60, but I'm not certain on that.

Hope it helps!

I used teletest for the first time recently, and while they did add sensitive estradiol to my requisition, LifeLabs where I did the test did not run the sensitive estradiol test, and there was a note on the results specifically saying that they don’t offer it.
