I ordered a part for my truck from amazon today. It was 28.88$ the ad said "one left in stock"...... Once I placed the order I realized I had sent it to my place of work. I did not want it sent to my place of work, so I cancelled it right away and then changed our shipping address back to our PO box and went to re ordered the SAME part from the SAME amazon store.. I literally clicked the iteam in the cancelled items menu... Well, after changing my address the part jumped up to 48$ AND the screen said "4 in stock"... I put the order through anyways to see what would happen... That 48$ was the charge.... So i cancelled it right away, changed the address back to my work and then went to reorder it.. Same part/seller.. It was back to 28$ and "one left in stock"...
What a fucking scam...
Just to be clear, my PO box and place of work are within 6 blocks of each other..
The only thing I can think of is when its sent to a PO box, its sent through Canada Post... When I sent it to my work, maybe its a courrier ? I checked the order status and it has not shipped, so I can't say thr difference is CP vs courier..
Even if it was the difference, it's not a 50% mark up difference...
The seller is not the amazon store.. its a private seller.
