Alright guys what's everybody's recommendation for a rice cooker, theres so many options out there from $50 all the way up to $900+

From what ive read guys prefer a Japanese model. I can't validate myself spending over $250-$300 on a rice cooker

What have you guys used in the past and what can you recommend?

cheaper isn't always better, i'd look for an asian brand from T&T if you want features like delayed start / better consistency rice. avoid walmart rice cookers if you can. $100-150 range is probably fine. i personally have a relatively cheap amazon rice cooker with delayed start just so i can load rice the night before with some ice cubes and have lunch ready to be packed for fam.

my black and decker one has served me well for years of daily abuse. I think you can get it at any department store. I wanna say it’s about $30-40 if that

I have two rice cookers and an instapot. Even though they both work great, i just use a regular pot every morning when cooking my food for the day. Just as quick and easy, and doesnt take up my counter space.

Why ice cubes?

My mom gave me a Tiger brand when I moved out in 94, my wife finally bought us a new one couple of years ago, another Tiger from TnT. It doesn’t have timer or anything fancy but it will out live most appliances now a days
