Yo Its been a while? Anyone know what ingredients are in retatrutide? or how its made? I've asked grok what it is and it answered with this:
Retatrutide (LY-3437943) is an investigational drug developed by Eli Lilly. It's a synthetic peptide designed as a triple hormone receptor agonist (often called a "triple G" or triple agonist).

What it's made of / how it works

  • It is not a mix of separate ingredients but a single engineered peptide molecule (a chain of amino acids with specific chemical modifications).
  • It mimics and activates three key gut and metabolic hormones at once:
    • GIP (Glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide)
    • GLP-1 (Glucagon-like peptide-1)
    • Glucagon (GCG)

This triple action helps reduce appetite, improve blood sugar control, increase energy expenditure, and promote significant weight loss (more than current dual or single agonists like tirzepatide or semaglutide in trials).

Chemical details

  • Base structure: A 39-amino-acid peptide sequence with modifications for stability and duration.
  • Key modifications include:
    • Amino acid substitutions (e.g., 2-aminoisobutyric acid / Aib, α-methyl leucine).
    • A fatty acid (lipid) chain attached via a linker (C20 diacid or similar) for once-weekly dosing and better pharmacokinetics.
  • Approximate molecular formula: Around C187H281N43O60 (or slight variations in sources), with a molecular weight of ~4,091–4,731 Da depending on exact form.

It's administered as a subcutaneous injection (similar to Ozempic/Wegovy/Mounjaro) and is still in clinical trials (not yet FDA-approved as of mid-2026).

In short: Retatrutide is a lab-made, modified peptide that acts like three hormones in one to drive strong metabolic effects.
I then asked is retatrutide similar to venom

No, retatrutide is not similar to venom.

Quick Breakdown

  • Retatrutide is a fully synthetic peptide made in a lab using solid-phase peptide synthesis. It’s a lab-engineered molecule designed to mimic and activate three human metabolic hormones (GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon) at the same time.
  • It has no animal-derived components, no venom peptides, and is not based on any snake, lizard, or other creature’s venom.

Where the Confusion Comes From

Some earlier GLP-1 drugs (like exenatide / Byetta) were inspired by exendin-4, a peptide found in the saliva/venom of the Gila monster lizard. That’s the main source of the “venom” myth in the weight-loss/GLP-1 drug world.

However:

  • Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy)
  • Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Zepbound)
  • Retatrutide (the triple agonist)

…are all synthetic and based on human hormone sequences with chemical modifications for better stability and longer action. They do not contain or derive from venom.

I just dont believe grok ya its synthetic but can you prove it was not derived from venom in some way? Yall know there is a 2 billion dollar lawsuit against ozempic right? I not trying to be an asshole just some food for thought. Testosterone is just more of what we have and there are still sides.
