G'day , looking to get a new training belt and there's soo many options out there.. Just wanted to see if any of my CB brothers and sisters had any recommendations since these days quality seems to be a thing of the past.. I was considering going with something like a Element 26, anyones experience/belt suggestions would be badass!

I just picked up one of these to try, I also have the SBD lever belt which has been built proof but I think you can buy just as good cheaper if your looking for a lever belt.

That thing's loaded! What a beast of a belt..

No no for sure I get that, but I'm actually reffering to a nylon/neoprene style belt. Typically more malleable/softer than leather, there's a shit ton options out there, just sick of buying junk..
I have a shaw strength one which is pretty good. Notible others would be Versa Grip and rogue nylon belts. You pay a bit more for the shaw strength one though.

I have 3 or 4 belts but my favourite that i use weekly is the Rogue Nylon weightlifting belts. I bought this one back in 2020 at the beginning of Covid. Use it every week and it’s still like brand new.

Morning @Oldguyjiujitsu - do you wear it for all training or just the compound movements that compromise the lower back?
I gave up wearing one eons ago, but have contemplated getting one. I don't deadlift cars and houses like @Hussell, but I do wonder if a soft one would help. I found the large leather ones pinched certain areas when I squatted down performing an exercise that is known to cause issues with the lower back. Did you buy it online and what specific Rogue belt did you buy if you don't mind me asking?
@Hussell how big is the belt you linked? I mean North to South, I realize they come in different sizes for people with different sized waists.

Thanks gents

I use this one: https://www.roguecanada.ca/rogue-usa-nylon-lifting-belt

I use it on back and legs almost exclusively plus any standing shoulder presses. Squats, dumbell rows, RDLs and even hack squats. I don't use it on all sets, just top sets. I still like to get the muscle to do the work to support the spine but for max effort sets it forces me to brace at all times. I don't cinch it as tight as i can, i brace fully pushing out through the sides and then pull the belt tight. so relaxed its not pinching and tight but once i brace for the set it gives feed back if i am bracing correctly and throughout the set.

I got alot of wear and tear on my spine from jiu jitsu. One wrong set not bracing correctly can set you back for a long time...numb and tingling hands and toes suck.

Rogue claims it was designed and used by Mat Fraser for his 5 crossfit titles so i assume it would be good enough for me LOL. Unlike my leather or powerlifting belts it does not restrict or pinch and does not take years to break in properly.
