Options other than chicken

I am pretty sick of eating chicken breast everyday, it’s been years of chicken breast and am pretty open to try anything that’s as lean and high protein. If it’s not obvious by the fact I’m posting on here I’m pretty desperate to switch it up

You guys should send some of your recipes over, quite literally open to anything.

Pork tenderloin has been on sale here, sometimes the lowest was 2.99 lb. I cut it into 1 1/2" medallions and cook it medium in a cast iron frying pan. Little bit of olive oil and some Greek spice mix. Have you tried pork tenderloin?

I don' follow the second half of this video

I got chickened out before I hit 30... When I hit that wall, I would rather eat anything but chicken...

I did a lot of fried ground beef and I'd add yogurt or cottage cheese to it for flavour/moisture.

I eat canned oysters

Fish... salmon is king, but there is cheaper options, just need to learn to cook it.

cottage cheese was good for awhile than I got sick of that and added apple chunks or tabespoon of sugar free jam to change the taste

eggs.. I could eat eggs everyday..

If you hunt or know a hunter it opens the doors wide open.. I eat tons of moose, deer, bear, grouse, geese etc..

Edit: I can't do pork.. Don't llike the taste.. to be honest, if I learned to cook it better it would probably be a good option.

Your right, I really need to learn to make salmon properly, pretty bad at cooking anything other than steak and I try and avoid that as the amount of saturated fats is so high.

Elk, bison moose is all amazing, luckily enough i do know a hunter and buy what i can off him when I do go out but I usually end up eating it all pretty quickly haha.

Agreed on the pork.

Thanks man

Per a lot said, not all protein is equal and not all fat is bad fat as far as I am concerned. I am a huge fresh salmon fan from local fish markets. Not from grocery stores - the taste is very different. I also like other kinds of white fish that are low in calorie, quick to cook, and high in protein. Canned oysters/muscles are a great snack and the macros are pretty good.
I put Greek yogourt into my smoothies and do use a scoop of whey too to ensure my first meal I am getting 60 or more grams of protein.
Cottage cheese is a great source like @animal-inside said, I like the taste, some hate it. I like Swiss cheese - check out the macros on Swiss cheese - not recommending eating a block, but added to 6 eggs (cutting out some of the yolks), with a little meet thrown in is a great meal. I like ham, but it is not the best for macros. You can put in any meat you like. Eggs digest so quickly, and I have a high protein gluten free bean bagel with it. They are tasty and healthy and one almost hits your fibre requirements for the day.
Due to time restrictions and the hate for cooking 4-6 times a day, I will often make chicken fried something with a cast iron pan. Just cook a lot of rice - brown is better but some people don't like the taste, I pick a meat I like - sometimes a reasonably tender beef that is low in fat (@Sorbate is a wealth of knowledge on animal protein), tons of egg whites and a few yolks as the choline is great for brain health/liver health and general health, I love asparagus and considering it is loaded in indole - 3 - carbinol which is good for hormone related cancers, steam some and mix it in. If you prefer brussel sprouts or broccoli - they are great too but I prefer asparagus. This makes several servings, just weigh it out as I count the cals in total, protein/carbs, etc. and do my best to mix it evenly and store it in the back of the fridge in glass containers. When I am hungry throw it in the small cast iron skillet and heat it up. If you prefer the microwave - even quicker.
Sounds like a lot but I can do this in 40 minutes and make 10 meals. I don't mind eating the same thing. You can favour with salt and pepper. Use the pepper after you are done cooking, it is not a good idea to cook pepper.

I wish I had access to some of the other meats people mentioned, but I don't. I am limited in what I can get a local butcher shops. I support local farmers and smaller butcher shops as their prices are usually better, and their meat/fish is better than the grocery stores.
Just a few ideas, but I hear you on chicken - it gets old after a while even though it is considered a healthy and dense food for calories/protein.

The comment on Pork, sure nothing wrong with that suggestion. I avoid pork as a rule as it one food that can promote inflammation. Nothing against @bc__boy as I do it eat it periodically, just not my preferred. Agreed though, it sure is tasty!

Good luck on your quest!

Any red meat if fatty (or burnt), can cause inflammation. Mind you the couple of studies I looked at didn't use healthy participants so not sure how to take the data.

Ground turkey is great I mix it with rice and some veggies for an easy quick meal. Mixing the turkey meat with taco seasoning.

Haddock/White Fish. Season and air fry. Quick easy, low calorie, high protein.

Tuna. Always a staple. I mix it with sliced pickles, season and some hot mustard.

Pork tenderloin as mentioned above is a good alternative. Macros are very similar to chicken breast.

Greek yogurt, whey, berries. Evening snack for me almost every day.

Eggs, egg whites and cottage cheese is great. Mix it all together and season.

buying wild game is illegal. I like personal freedom, but even I agree with why it's illegal to buy/sell wild game. Be careful, the penalities are very high for you and the seller.

actually, for the OP.. if you are sick of chicken, try homemade canned chicken... It's really good and isn't like eating fresh chicken

One of my go to meals is baking sweet potatoes in the oven till they’re very soft and almost caramelized then making 2 pounds of extra lean ground beef, seasoned with whatever you like and then once the beef is 95% cooked throwing in the sweet potatoes and mashing it all up creating this weird slop looking thing. It doesn’t look “appetizing” but I promise it’s delicious. You can also add any veggies you like to it as well. Sometimes I pour a tiny bit of maple syrup over it when it’s done and it’s like a beef dessert 😂
Usually makes me about 3-4 meals too so don’t have to cook every day.

Make sure to peel the skin off the potatoes when they’re cooked though.

Sounds kind of like a deconstructed sheppards pie id maybe mix in a tad of gravy and some shredded cheese on top then broil it for a minute or two.

Had no idea , I wish I just knew how to hunt lol, I have my status which as far as I know makes a big difference.

canned tuna
ground turkey
greek yogurt
eggs (not just the whites)
fresh white fish (perks of being a maritimer)
then like your whey isolate, odd protein bar, collagen supplementing.

just what i occasionally use on top of the 4-5 chicken breast i eat daily lol

With chicken, I find that its the texture I get tired of. If I switch from chicken breast and use ground chicken instead , no issues.

As others have said:

Pork tenderloin is good,

salmon is outstanding, but if you buy wild, not farmed, it can get expensive so you probably won’t eat that more than once or twice a week and

ground turkey is always a go to for me

Ground bison from costco is a must

Back to chicken… how do you prepare It makes all the difference. Instead of always just with rice, cut it up with some tomato, lettuce, mustard, and make a sandwich with sourdough. Get a couple of different flavor, gangs sauces, and use those in stirfry and change the vegetables between zucchini, carrots, red peppers, and green beans. Instead of rice use avocado and sweet potatoes. I also have no issues, switching in some chicken thighs, boneless skinless instead of breast.

Would you happen to have a brand name for that magic bagel you mentioned? I’m trying to find ways to add fibre to my daily plan while actively avoiding vegetables 🤣

Pretty much the same as others besides chicken
pork tenderlion
ground bison
tuna
halibut
dessert or snack i use two bottles of kirkland protien drink with one scoop chocolate whey isolate protien powder and a pack of jello sugar free chocolate pudding mix. 535 calories and 90g protien

I will mix my proteins if im getting sick of eating 10oz of the same meat.
Shredded chicken, some extra lean gb and some shrimp on a bed of rice taste pretty good. Better then just chicken and rice
