Diagnosing and prescribing treatment of an injury on a forum is difficult at best unless the injury is very simple.
Having said that, the best sort of overall back treatment I've experienced when shit goes sideways is the simple hang from an overhead bar. 30 seconds minimum for a handful of sets. Provides a natural(?) form of traction/distraction/decompression and is great for the shoulders for most folks too. Helps me with overall tightness and sciatica in particular.
At around the 30 second mark I can actually feel my spine lengthen. I saw a reel recently of a girl in tight gym wear doing it and it looked like her spine lengthened by about 2 inches.
