Lab Intro: Peptide Testing in Canada

Also,

We wanna share our story a bit more and get folks to know us a bit better.

We wanna start posting stuff like:

how we’re testing (HPLC ELI5, why we test the way we do, (why some of the others are shite)
what to look for on a report,
what a report can and cannot tell you
some of the findings we have from assessing other reports,
and a quick take on overall peptide quality we’re seeing (some of it’s rough).

Is this the right spot to drop it or should we start a new thread for each of these posts?
I think you should make a new thread. Unless someone is following this one, the info will probably get buried 👍

Hey yall. We're late to the party as usual. Funny this is now discussed- because as of this week we are now testing HGH!! This is the product of a legal review (we're in the clear for analytical testing) but also a more general risk assessment on our core business. Testides is a customer facing off-shoot of a larger lab that's been around since 2018.

So...YES TO HGH LET'S GO BOYS AND GALS
How big of a sample do you need to test the gh. Like could I put a couple iu into a clean vial and send it to you?

Just got two test results back from Testides for Reta and GH. Very thankful and appreciative of their service, and how they treat you as a customer. Also must say pretty happy with the results I got back. The peace of mind Testides gives us is well worth the cost you guys. Get your peptides tested.

Thank you @Testides-Lab
How did the tests turn out ? Did they give you X mg or x.xx mg like janoshik does ? I’m really interested in trying these guys out but weighing out using janoshik first to compare results.

They give x.xx mg. Tests turned out good bro. The Janoshik test results I’ve seen, Testides is very comparable. But I’ve never personally used Janoshik.

That’s awesome, if it doesn’t have any sensitive info can you post the test results here ? I’m really interested in these guys I might send some stuff off just so hard to switch up from jano but so tempting with it being domestic.

Would anyone be interested in doing some group testing with the sample from same batches to each janoshik and testides to compare accuracy?

Would definitely give me the faith to switch over to testides entirely going forward if they were to be extremely similar results and I’d be happy to do it myself just might have to save up a couple extra bucks to do it. If there’s any group testing some of us can participate in that would be pretty cool to see just expensive to do it all on my own.

Hey Shredziller- yes, we provide mass prediction just as Jano does, though our method is a bit different. Basically, we look for a statistical relationship between the area of the peak you see on the chromatogram (the visual graph on CofAs) and the mass of the product. We are improving this method. The more peptides we test, the more accurate mass becomes.

I'll add that that I think Jano currently has us on mass accuracy at the moment, whereas we have likely have better purity accuracy We use 214/220 nm for peptide purity because it detects the peptide backbone and reveals most peptide-related impurities. 280 nm, which he uses, only detects aromatic residues and can miss a lot, making purity look artificially higher.

Belated thanks BRB happy to be of service.

@Brbpuppy - How does this compare to the Jano analysis for the same product? I’m assuming you sourced from a lab that advertises Jano testing.
