First post here, go easy on me hehe.
I decided to go keto due to try if my test will go up a bit since I have low T, 3 blood tests and all around 200 ng/dL.

I did pure keto years ago, got good results but stopped due to constipation and cramping problems. Run it probably 8 weeks or so on a cut.

What's your way of avoiding the cramps and constipation aside from fibrous vegetables? Supplementations that are not pushed by keto companies.

Thanks.

This is your second post, your first post was at 10:00pm , a thread called the source check don't let me catch you lying again😅

Constipation can be as simple as not enough water, and as complex as your metabolism is to slow, chances are if your doing keto then you way under calories. Which means your thyroid is slowed down, which means your poo poo could not be coming out as it should. Eat more food eat lots of fats and good oils, and pick up a product thays called daily cleanse, supplment king used to have it, its packed with fiber and it will most definitely help.

Take fibre like metamucil and drink more water.
We posted at the excat same time lol, pretty much same idea aside from i switched from Metamucil to daily cleanse due to Metamucil caused me to have explosive shits lol used to take it alot due to having diverticulitis twice.

You get diverticulitis a third time you are a candidate for surgery. If so do it, best thing I ever did and laproscopic you are back to work in 3 weeks as long as you don’t lift too heavy.
‘I don’t get explosive shits from it.
Before they removed the diver part of my colon, I’d get lots of issues, and get spastic shits once in a while.

That i did not no, thats good info, its been a long time since i had a flare up, but talk about painfull , couldn't sit for a long time my gut was so inflammed i really think that it was due to a slowed down metabolism from a shitty thryoid. I had the camara up the bum once , everything came back fine, what a werid fucking experience, drank this shit next thing i no im waking up and all these nurses looking at me saying i was all done... i felt violated lol.

This kind of shocks me. The keto shits are very real and well documented. Your digestive system isn't used to all of the fats it's suddenly getting and things come out pretty loose. Almost like your asshole turned on a faucet. You say you did it for 8 weeks on a cut. Most of us bodybuilders keep the proteins high on keto, and if you're doing it in a cut you may have been restricting calories and fats may not have been high enough. With low carb, moderate fat and high protein I can see constipation becoming an issue.

I was getting runs initially but I had a constipation that triggered hemorrhoid inflammation, so I had to stop. I'm gonna try to do it right this time around. I'm doing my research and gonna make a detailed plan before jumping on it.

They didn’t put me under for the colonoscopy. Only when he went thru the scar tissue from the diverticulitis did I have pain, other than that is just felt weird. After he was done, I drove back to work. No pain meds other than toradol(Advil like drug)

If you ever get a flare again, gh works wonders, it got me thru while I was waiting for surgery. No gh, took a week to heal, with gh, 1.5 days. If it happens I’ll tell you the protocol.

Oh dude don’t push so hard you get hemroids that is how you get diverticulosis. What it is, is that you push so hard, your colon get tiny pouches pushed thru the colon wall, kinda like when you squeeze a ballon. They do not heal and go away, and unfortunately with some people things get stuck in the pouches, it rots and then eats you colon lining, then you get a perforation and an infection. The infection causes scar tissue and eventually if you have it happen enough, you can’t pass stool because unlike the rest of your colon, the scar tissue doesn’t stretch or flex.

Take 1 tablespoon of Metamucil (there is sugar free available) every night with a glass of water before bed.

Make sure you drink a gallon of liquids a day.

If you get constipated, don’t fucking push hard, drink smooth move tea, or take restorlax, or stool softeners. Not all 3 at once, lol. As long as you can still fart, even if it’s been a few days, you are not blocked. If it’s like 3 going on to 4 days, you can give yourself an enema. It’s not horrible, but it will get things moving again. And it’s safe, as long as you didn’t do it daily.

I didn’t find the surgery that bad, but if you can avoid it. It’s major surgery like open heart. But I also was able to work 5 days after my first hernia surgery and 3 after my second. Both laproscopi, I was back to work 6 hour days after 7 days of colon resection surgery and on a beach in Cuba 16 days later. I will admit I pushed it a bit too soon, but I survived. Oh that was a funny story, see when they resection your sigmoid colon, you lose the nerve that lets you know when to poop. Jesus what an adventure being in another country, most toilets without lids, not knowing when you are going to shit.

Ouch, I definitely had bad hemorrhoids inflammation last year. I'm gonna add the Metamucil protocol asap even if I haven’t started keto yet. Goddammit, you just reminded me one of my greatest fears lol

Be scared, but not parnoid. If you have any issues, message me, I went thru the whole constipated thing numerous times and have a system to get over it.

BTW, cialis for me is a great constipation solver, and you get wood, lol.

Only get the orange metamucil, and don’t buy the life brand, the others are hard to drink.

For drinking I will 100% second this. The orange metamucil isn't all that terrible.
BUT, you can also eat it. A TON of keto recipes, especially keto breads, buns, crusts, etc.. call for psyllium husk which is the fiber used in metamucil. So you can strategically plan your keto meals to make sure you're getting it in on the daily.

I just ordered some, I will look into baking recipes I can assimilate it into.
