How healthy is intermittent fasting for your heart? | Fortune
Limiting mealtimes to a just eight hours a day was linked to a 91% increase in risk of death from heart disease in a new study.

I didn't really read the actual study though I'll have to when I get timeDidn’t get a chance to read the article yet, but 91 percent is crazy, almost death sentence.
I agree man but what I don't understand is how this garbage can get published, why aren't people calling them out and fact checking things, especially in big corporations like AHA. Who's paying them off to come up with this shit and why is it not extremly illegal. Research papers should be held at as high of standards as legal documents. If you ask me someone who would blatenly lie and make something very healthy look very dangerous and end up causing people to die for financial gain is guilty of murder and should be treated as such.@Bigbear
I always appreciate knowing what's out there and seeing all sides of everything. More info leads to better answers so any posts about a study is appreciated, keep em coming, you know I have much respect for you.
But.
Fuck me this is such garbage. When an authoritarian institution like the AHA puts something like this out, especially when they only provide an abstract it disgusts me. I didn't read the study either, it's effectively buried. They probably don't want anyone to pick it apart right away. The problems and conflicts that are described very briefly in this Fortune article alone are numerous and serious enough to give cause to dismiss the whole thing completely. It smacks of a cash grab in the form of people spending money to justify their jobs or to seek further funding to ensure future employment. Headline baited bullshit.
Pisses me off to think that we can't trust orgs like that or the CDC or Health Canada now and we probably never should have.
Study shows that Water and Oxygen consumption have been shown to have direct links to premature death, nearly 100% of all deaths in humans under 35 are associated with water and oxygen consumption. Follow me for more groundbreaking important info like this, hit like, share and subscribe.
In this day and age, with all the distractions available to us, people find it very difficult to care about their health to even sniff out bullshit like this. If companies can publish utter garbage and clickbait just to get click engagement to make money off of ads, they’ll do it. I can already imagine the amount of Facebook moms sharing this on their feed and sending it through WhatsApp. Misinformation about nutrition spreads like wildfire. People still believe in the food pyramid and that eggs are bad for you because of cholesterol.I agree man but what I don't understand is how this garbage can get published, why aren't people calling them out and fact checking things, especially in big corporations like AHA. Who's paying them off to come up with this shit and why is it not extremly illegal. Research papers should be held at as high of standards as legal documents. Your statement is that of a far-right conspiracy theorist.@Bigbear

Fuck I literally laughed out loud. Maybe we can sit together in class eh?Your statement is that of a far-right conspiracy theorist.
You will be selected for re-education in the near future.
I am looking forward to it.Fuck I literally laughed out loud. Maybe we can sit together in class eh?

If it ain't peer reviewed study then it ain't credible until that's been done..
and like someone else said, if its not the FULL study published, it greatly diminished any value it has or may have.
At the end of the day, the world of science and research gets murky amidst politics, economics, lobbying, etc. the only thing we can do is observe these “objective” studies and try our best to further deduce and theorize. Shit changes all the time, and not to mention corruption and the usefulness of misinformation, I’d say no study out there can be taken as an absolute truth.
And as far as studies, covid proved that its really tough to believe shit.
Even simpler, I think it comes down to corporations having rights as persons, but without the capacity to even feel those emotions you describe.I can help u understand, it's simple. Selfishness, greed and apathy. Same reasons our entire human society is crumbling quickly right before our eyes.
I try to be as kind as anyone in general. Help a lil old lady cross the street, watch out for my neighbours, step up when someone is in trouble but...
I'm as guilty as anyone, if I or anyone else really, really gave a fuck about society as a whole we would all devote our days to standing up and straighten shit out. The reality though? Bills to pay, kids to raise, all that shit plus the desire to actually enjoy life.
Take any random set of data and one can find patterns in it to support any preconception. At the end of the day, the world of science and research gets murky amidst politics, economics, lobbying, etc. the only thing we can do is observe these “objective” studies and try our best to further deduce and theorize. Agreed, but I don't get who would be pushing the narrative to eat more often.

Publish or perish is the name of the game.Even then you can't trust anything, I quote studies all the time though, wtf else are we to rely in for info? You can only vet this shit so well.

'Real' fake research hoodwinks US journals
Three US researchers have pulled off a sophisticated hoax by publishing fake research with ridiculous conclusions in sociology journals to expose what they see as ideological bias and a lack of rigorous vetting at these publications.phys.org
I've seen some better stories about this hoax but this was the first one that came up when I googled that got the point across. Some of the things they said in a few of the studies were insanely absurd and it's hard to believe that anyone who had an over 80 IQ actually read them without realizing the joke and still let them get published. Like fucking hilarious shit I would have been proud to post here as obvious satire. On the other hand maybe they were smart people and just chicken shit to speak up or reject them because of all the woke outrage hanging over their heads. If that's they case it's even more disgusting.
