Hulk Hogan RIP

Ray Braun was an ex pro wrester. He opened up Braun's Concert Cove just outside Buffalo until just before Covid I believe. Often his friends would come and I hung out with Hacksaw Jim Duggan and a few others. They partied just as hard if not harder!! They told me stories of so much coke going on it was incredible. It was like half the guys were doing it in the 80's. Piper was one of the worst. They also mentioned about being on the road 300 days per year and they all used to travel with each other partying all the way and they were actual friends having gotten to know each other so well. Some hated each other but others I heard a strong bond in their voices like some of the guys were true friends. With resect to life shorting hormones are powerful and are proven to cause issues when abused. I was told almost every wrestler did them at some point in the WWF. Some guys just a little some tons.

By the way Hacksaw Jim Duggan is absolutely broken down. His body is just fucked. He had a tough time walking, sitting, standing. I could see him grimace and wince often when moving. He is about 175 to 180lbs. He told me he has lots of health issues and injuries many related to wrestling. He was pretty candid speaking. He didn't make much money at all during this time at WWF at all and lives like a regular person

For sure, but as I mentioned there is just too many factors to even begin to say Hulk's life was shortened by hormones. Everyone whose used is totally and completely different in terms of how hormones have any or how much long term effects..

I also read those guys beat the piss out of their bodies so much performing that many took painkillers and opiods just to keep going...

I find it so dam hard to stay big, strong and lean even in the most ideal environments lol... imagine your pay check depending on being peak big, strong, lean, athletic, yet you live out of a tour bus, spend most of your time driving, beat the piss out of your body a few tiems a week wrelting and some how eat properly and workout?? Those guys are animals for doing what they did.

Cause of death is life lol. It's like two planets colide Brother!!!

The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just where the hands will stop,
At late or early hour.
To lose one’s wealth is sad indeed,
To lose one’s health is more.
To lose one’s soul is such a loss
As no man can restore.
The present only is our own.
Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in ‘tomorrow’
For the clock may then be still.

RIP big guy. Fucking sad at his death. Hulk Hogan was the fucking GOAT. I grew up in the era of these wrestling giants Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man etc. and I miss the days me and pops shared watching every one of their matches. I stopped watching wrestling in the late 90s, it was never the same. RIP brothers

To me, he was THE main wrestling guy back in the 80's along with a few others. I know he made some mistakes after that but that has nothing to do with his wrestling career in my opinion.

However, I don't understand or like how they treated Joey Swole and cancelled him for his honest and perhaps somewhat naive tribute but he didn't mean anything wrong. He did a lot of good for proper gym etiquette, manners and common sense and helped try to keep things good for those of us who actually train seriously and don't treat the gym like it's a jungle gym or Tik Tok / Instagram / Facebook / Only Fans promotion studio or act like bullies by shaming others who are trying. I f*cking hate those narcassistic idiots and they need to find somewhere else to do that.

Joey Swole is like most people whose income is based on social media.. He's more concerned with making sure he says and does the right thing to keep/gain viewers then he is saying his actual opinion and not caring if its what the masses agree with. Thus far, Joey's content has been what his actual opion is and it happens to be what people want to hear... His post about hulk hogan is the first time he's said something that the masses don't agree with, so he tucked his tail between his legs and ran, hoping they'd forgive him and still click his videos.

Don't get me wrong, I like Joey and his video's calling twats out in the gym, but he also needs to earn respect by sticking to his opion's if some of his followers don't agree (ie American Eagle)

I don't think It was the masses that made a big deal of his Hogan tribute, It was the soft and pathetic. Unfortunately Joey made it worse when he caved to the woke instead of being genuine.

your 100% right, but the soft and pathetic are the larger voice on socia media platform when they are upset..

Either way, this whole woke thing along with cancel culture has to go.

It's such a relief now when someone purposely stands up and does the opposite for the right reasons. I love how comedy can usually get away with that and we need it sometimes.

Regardless of what Hulk Hogan said or did outside of wrestling, he was undeniably a legend in the wrestling world - heck, he even fought Rocky Balboa. :ROFLMAO:
