I've tried it.. I think I'm 3 months on it, but I took a little break after a month..
To be honest, I'm taking it to see how it can control my blood sugars.. At 2mg it keeps mine great. It dropped some fat off me for a couple months, but now the fat loss isn't happening anymore. Which, is ok for me.. I might go to 3mg to drop some more fat.. I worked up to 3mg before, but I was losing muscle/size and had to drop down to figure out what was going on.
It's not a simple process to take reta in my opinion... You can not eat the same on reta as you would normally diet. You have to learn to eat diffrently than you normally would... I found I was losing muslce/strength when I was eating my normal low carb diet to loose fat.. I had to add carbs and add some protien.. That's what I mean in that you have to learn to use it. Don't get me wrong, its nice to have to add carbs to my diet, but you have to be aware of your diet on it from my experience.
If you don't care about losig some muscle and/or you are looking to drop a ton of fat like most "normal" people, its a near fool proof way to loose weight.. but these people will slap it all back on when they come off I am guessing..
I also had to cut out the cardio (stair master/pulling sled) as that caused over training/muscle loss etc..
Reta's greatest attribute to a "normal" undisciplined person is how it kills your apetite and desire to eat shit food.
It's a cool diet drug, but if you have normal insulin sensistivity, the will power to follow a diet and do your cardio I think your better off without it. For guys like me whose insulin sensity is fucked up, its a blessing to be able to lower your blood sugar enough to burn fat again.
