HGH Timing

I’m new to HGH and I’m starting off at 2iu. I work nights and usually go to the gym afterward around 10:30 PM. I finish around 12-12:30 AM and then eat pretty much directly after usually a high carb, high protein meal.

I’m wondering if I should take my dose around 2 AM after my post workout meal and go straight to bed, or if I’d be better off waiting until the morning and taking it around 9:30-10 AM, then having my first meal around 10:30-11 AM.

Which timing would make more sense?

Normally my first response to any question like this would be that as fuckin near always it depends on your goals and priorities. However with the timelines that are involved with the things that GH does in some cases you are not going to be able to bias any specific effect too greatly. This sounds like it might be one of those cases. It might end up being about how it affects your personal sleep or consideration of the natural pulse or something but I'm leaning towards just getting it in you whenever.

I'm really interested in hearing some answers from others

I too took a regular dose of 2 IU of script HGH for years. Anyone who says it does not change your physique, I would argue strongly. Does it change it drastically like it does with high dose HGH and another compound to control your blood sugar - no.
What is your goal for jumping on the HGH? Growth/bulk, longevity/anti-aging, healing injuries, etc.?

A 2 IU dose is more about longevity, anti-aging, but there is no question it will increase your ability to heal quicker. I could hit weights and then hit the heavy bag or spar for an hour after without fear of overdoing it - ending in an injury or strain.
The stuff was like magic. I used Serostim, some Huma, and Geno's.
For 2 IU, I would dose it based on how it impacts your sleep. For guys like @3ml, it fucks his sleep up and it really messes up my sleep as well so I took it in the AM hoping this would help. My 'coach' - I don't compete but a top level Canadian bodybuilding friend on the forums and in real life, wanted me to take it at night for the sleep/healing/anti-aging benefits because he knew my goals were not to get massive or compete.

The main point with 2IU's (still monitor your BS to ensure you don't have issues, which you most likely won't) is just get it into you daily or whatever protocol you are going to run such as 5 days on/2 days off or like I did 365 days a year.

I am convinced over time it changed my 'normal weight' if I never lifted weights and did not eat to grow. Best guess I would be 205 if I never touched weights and ate 3 decent meals a day. After taking HGH and TRT for a few years, I noticed it was almost impossible to get below 215. This became the weight I sat at when I was taking months off for personal reasons, injured, etc.

I also found it helped bulk, and it made no difference when I took it - AM or PM. If I was using for a different purpose, I would have taken it multiple times a day with another compound, but I was not willing to go down that road.
Did you get UGL or script HGH?

Even though you may never have a blood sugar issue, please make an effort to keep an eye on it regardless of how low your dose is. I did 1-3 IU at different times and my BS was fine, but everyone is different.

Best of luck.

Appreciate the reply @gondar1 @Goldenrod

I’m just about to go on a 6 month bulk. My main goal is to get all my numbers up strength wise while keeping my body fat at a reasonable level. I’d say I’m around 12% right now. I’ll be taking 600 test 300 EQ as well.

The 2 IU is just a starting point and I’m using it more as support. I’m not expecting it to do much for mass or strength, more so to help keep me leaner and hopefully be a little more efficient with recovery.

Everyone I’ve talked to seems to take it at night, but they don’t really take into account that I eat a pretty big meal at night, which I’ve heard can affect how it works. Other people say taking it in the morning is more likely to make you insulin sensitive, but based on what I’ve read and the studies I’ve looked at, I don’t really see that being as significant as people make it sound.

I went with UGL GG for this one. If I’m being honest I just can’t afford pharma grade right now. This batch came back at 97.8%

@TheBroadFather As far as I can tell from recent reading having carbs on board might some slight neg ( what ever that means ) effect on it but I have the feeling that it gets overstated or at least misunderstood because the social media world has led folks to get exogenous GH confused with how the pulse created by peptides works. Carbs and all kinds of other things surely have a much bigger blunting effect on Growth Hormone Releasing Hormones and Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides.

Again, looking forward to other comments.

Im taking 2iu, if taken right before bed seems to negatively effect my sleep. I try to take it around the same time each day and about half hour at least after food.

I'll fill you in on my experience so far, I'm no expert but I'm trying to use HGH as safe as possible. I've also only been on HGH for 2 weeks. First thing I did was look at my A1C on my blood test, mine was 5.2, then I bought a blood glucose meter (well it was actually free with a coupon that I posted last week) all of this was done before starting HGH to get a base line. I tested my fasting blood glucose in the morning before eating anything and it was 5.4. I took 1IU of HGH for 4 days with no issues, after the 4 days I bumped up to 2IU's per day. Then I tested my fasted blood glucose and it was 6.2 which is not good (not terrible though), I will now try taking my HGH in the morning an hour before I eat my breakfast and then after doing that for 3 days I will test my fasted glucose again to see if it improved. I'm also doing 2mg of Reta which also helps blood glucose, if my fasted blood glucose is still high then I will need to decide if its worth the risk or up my Reta dose to see if that corrects it. Again I'm no expert and this is my first go with HGH, but I have done lots of research and lots of @CoolRick comments and suggestions, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be taking such a cautious approach, thanks buddy!

We are running a pretty similar protocol. I forgot to mention I’m also taking 2mg of Reta. Taking 2iu's in the morning fasted.

In theory it sounds like a genius idea but upon more research there's lots to it. Reta and HGH are basically pulling in opposite directions when it comes to glucose control. HGH can increase insulin resistance and make the liver release more glucose while Reta is working to improve blood sugar control. So Reta can make the glucose numbers look really good while the HGH is still causing more insulin resistance underneath. You could see a 5.4 on your meter and think everything is perfect while your pancreas may actually be making a lot more insulin just to keep you at 5.4.

That’s the part I find interesting. Normal blood sugar does not always mean normal insulin levels. HGH can be pushing insulin resistance up while Reta is pushing the blood sugar back down. Basically Reta may be helping keep the numbers looking good while HGH is pushing the other way in the background. Your pancreas can end up working harder to keep blood sugar under control and over time that’s something I’d want to keep an eye on to avoid sudden crashes and spikes.

That’s why it's important to continue to get blood work and look at fasting insulin along with fasting glucose and A1C instead of just relying on the CGM. The CGM tells you what your blood sugar is but not how hard your body is working to keep it there.

Not knocking your protocol as I'm doing the same thing LOL. I just dug deep into it earlier today.

Thanks for the reply. Cheers!

Morning @TheBroadFather - regarding your response:

If you are at 12% BF on a bulk, you are lean so I would not worry about HGH for BF. Most people never get to 12%.
I never found HGH did much for strength in the same manner as Deca or a higher test dosage would do, but in the same way peptides like BPC157 work or other healing peptides, if you can recover fully faster/push harder with progressive overload, in its own way it is making you stronger.

If on 2 IU of HGH, AM or PM I don't think is going to make much of a difference. As for insulin sensitivity/bulking or staying lean I don't think the timing matters that much - just be consistent with your dosage so you can start to figure out how you respond. If you were taking 10 IU in multiple doses a day - my response would change and I would be consulting some of the guys I believe are more educated with HGH usage, monitoring BS, potentially needing other compounds, and adopting a buddy system for safety.

Many people like UGL HGH, never used it so can't comment. Script is more expensive and there are knock-offs. If you do use script, recommend putting a scanner app on your phone to scan the product and verify it is legit.

ive tried fasted in the morning, before bed, micro doses throughout the day,and my experience now says just get it into you some time during the day,but before bed seems to do the trick for better fat burning and waking up tight around the waist

I might have to try morning and night, should help with my blood glucose levels?

depends on the dose, ive never really kept track of any of that, not because i dont know how, more cause im being lazy about it,i think meal timing has alot to do with it,hgh at night then fasted cardio in the morning did more for me than anything ive ever tried, but after 6 months or so,unless the dose goes up,i feel just getting it into me keeps the progress up,hgh is a game changer, berberine did alot for my blood sugars when i did see they were out of whack though

I get the same thing. 2 iu put me at 6.2/6.4 fasted in the morning. At other times if day I’m at 5.2 ish. Sometimes even go hypo if I go a long time between meals so 4.2. I get caffeine induced hypoglycaemia and have for a while now.

Anyhow it put my A1C at 5.8 where without gh I was 4.8.

I usually run 1 iu instead to keep my glucose levels more towards the prediabetic stage. Anyhow been running gh for a year now, with elevated glucose levels and truthfully I’m not worried.

I do have a thought though.

I think for some of us 1iu is too much, 1/2iu is all we need for replacement levels because our bodies still produce enough gh, even when older.

I was also thinking if I take weekends off that may help.

Going to run some experiments in the future.

Now that being said, I check my blood glucose 45 min after a meal and then 2 hours later and it’s within normal range, and that’s where I’m more conserned. So after a meal I’ll be 7.5, and 2 hours later 5.6 on 2 iu. If Iwas 11 45minutes after a meal and 7, 2 hours later, I’d stop taking gh.
