No I don't take any vitamin c. I've been reading though that trt can lower ferritin and I've been off for 6 months so maybe it's trying to balance out.Do you take vitamin C? It can raise ferritin levels.
I would think it would level out by now being off that long. Especially with trt out of the mix I would be looking at other lifestyle choices like cardio, diet etc first. I would imagine sleep apnea could cause this as well.No I don't take any vitamin c. OK thanks man I appreciate that, yea I have sleep apnea and don't use my machine. I'm just wondering if I'm good to start a little cycle, I'd think so because test should probably lower it a bit eh?I would think it would level out by now being off that long. Yea definitely start correcting the sleep apnea. Daily cardio will help too. Starting a cycle should make your iron levels increase not decrease. I would correct the existing issues first then retest if you're concerned about the iron levels before starting a cycle.OK thanks man I appreciate that, yea I have sleep apnea and don't use my machine. Could clomid or hcg cause high ferritin?Yea definitely start correcting the sleep apnea. Daily cardio will help too. Starting a cycle should make your iron levels increase not decrease. I'm not familiar with whether they are connected to iron levels to be honest. But personally I doubt it.Could clomid or hcg cause high ferritin?
Based on what you just posted it could be possible. You could always go back to your old regimen and see if things go back to normal then you can rule it out.Funny this might be it too, I was taking folic acid for fertility
Will folic acid increase ferritin?
The concentration of ferritin and folic acid in serum were markedly lower in the study group than that of the control group. It was observed that serum levels of ferritin and folate significantly increased after 3 months of supplementation, and the value of these parameters was similar to the control group.Feb 2, 2021
I should look into it though your right, and I checked all my blood work over the last few years and it's always high. Not sure why my trt doc never mentioned it.Based on what you just posted it could be possible. It could be that it wasn't anything to worry about. To me having iron rich blood is a benefit for athletes and not undesirable.I should look into it though your right, and I checked all my blood work over the last few years and it's always high. Not sure why my trt doc never mentioned it.
Yea and a big thing my docs always telling me is if any none sports doc looked at our blood work he would think we're about to drop dead. It's not until you factor everything in that it all makes sense and usually like you said there's some benefits to it, sane with benefits to higher hematocrit or a gp looking at our high creatine kinase. I googled high creatine kinase and this is what first popped up :It could be that it wasn't anything to worry about. To me having iron rich blood is a benefit for athletes and not undesirable.
Yea exactly. We're not exactly regular people. But if your GP isn't worried then I'd say you're good and it's something negligible.Yea and a big thing my docs always telling me is if any none sports doc looked at our blood work he would think we're about to drop dead. High levels of CK-MB enzymes are most likely from damage to your heart muscle. The damage is often caused by heart attack or inflammation in your heart muscle (myocarditis). But other conditions can also cause high levels of CK-MB, such as: A blood clot in the lung.Oct 25, 2023
