Hey, what’s up everyone? I’m Geeving and if you grew up in the Toronto suburbs in the late-90s, then lived in Toronto from 98 to 2014. Now I’m back in Sauga. Some of you might know the obscure regional slang term I take my name from. It’s used as a verb to describe something you don’t care about at all. For example: “Did you hear Will Smith is trying to make a comeback through hip hop?” “I’m geeving about Will Smith and his comeback.” It’s just a funny little GTA phrase that was big among Portuguese and Italians for some reason, but trickled down to youth of every background. I was born in Canada, speak fluent Spanish, and have had a difficult but interesting life.

I’ve been lifting on-and-off since I was 18, in 1998 (I’m 46). I’m currently 6’1” and a fairly lean 190. I was an ectomorph as a teenager and wanted to put on some muscle. A friend and I joined a local gym together when we were 18 and I really got into it. He loaned me Arnold Shrwarzenegger’s Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding and I read it cover to cover a dozen times, which helped me put together a solid initial program of free weight exercises, and I made great gains over then next year. It took a long time at first, but eventually I was benching 185+, doing chins without assistance, and made noticeable increases in strength and size.

I kept up the lifting when I went to university in Toronto, where I had access to three excellent gyms. I kept focusing on the basics until I was lifting decent weight. Then I started buying BB magazines and adopting more advanced programs. I did my first cycle (test e and deca) when I was 23 and made some good gains that I was really proud of. I maintained twenty pounds of muscle that I’ve mostly kept since then and became more mesomorphic. However, a couple of accidents would soon sideline my lifting for five years, and though I kept the physical muscle, my strength suffered until I started doing manual labor for a couple years after the 2007 crash.

I got back into lifting in 2011 and did two heavier cycles of test e, Dianabol, and deca, putting on a total of 40 pounds of muscle over the course of two years (I kept 20 initially.) However, I ended up having to take a long-term hiatus because of some health problems. Now that I’ve started lifting again, I’m keeping my workouts light because I developed chronic sensitivity to rhabdomyolysis in my 30s and fried my kidneys four times when I started working out after a break. The first two times, I didn’t know I had rhabdo - I thought it was the protein shake making my urine dark - and I have memories of being sick for two weeks a couple times without knowing why. I couldn’t do anything for myself, was constantly nauseous, and stayed in bed feeling like I was going to die.

In 2020, just before COVID locked down the world, I started lifting again, had black urine, and felt extremely ill the next day. After some Googling, I realized I had Rhabdomyolysis for the first time and went to the ER. I had really done a number on my kidneys and my CK numbers were off-the-chart. I nearly required dialysis, and it took me more than two weeks in hospital and another month of drinking 3 liters of water a day before my CK came down to reasonable levels. For almost two weeks, I felt so sick I thought I was going to die. After I was discharged, I stopped all strenuous exercise, but my muscles atrophied and I got Rhabdo again this past February cleaning up after an ice storm. One week in hospital.

I’ve been reluctant to start weight training again, but lately I have been easing myself into a routine very gradually, using low weights and sets and increasing my workouts little-by-little each week. I am taking 100mg of test e weekly (Hudson Pharmaceuticals) as my T levels were low but I did not want to wait for a referral to an endo and all the blood tests, run around, etc. I wanted to start feeling better ASAP, and after five weeks, I do.

I’m continuing to slowly increase the intensity and length of my workouts, incorporating running in place, skipping, working a heavy bag, swimming, and other exercises designed to increase my stamina. I will increase the intensity of this exercise gradually, but I don’t have a high bf % and am pretty lean. The Hudson gear is good and even at this low dose, I can feel a considerable increase in energy, libido, and drive.

My goals right now are to maintain the TRT and build up to 4-5 full workouts weekly over the winter. I have a home gym (free weights) that is good for everything but legs (which I can do at a nearby community center.) Once I can lift decent weight again, I’d like to do a cycle with Deca or Tren and slightly increase my weekly test. But that is in the future. Right now, I’m just interested in getting back some stamina, avoiding Rhabdo, and increasing the intensity and frequency of my workouts gradually until I can follow a solid program without fear of wrecking my kidneys again. Then I’ll add Deca or Tren to 200mg/week of test and make some good gains.

I have a lot of experience to share with members regarding workout routines, exercises for optimizing muscle growth, and helping people plateauing break through to the next level. I’m looking for guidance getting back to decent muscular endurance and stamina without suffering Rhabdo again, and eventually help planning a simple cycle. In the future, I may try other compounds, depending on my needs.

I’m happy to be a member of this community and look forward to getting to know other members and contributing the knowledge I’ve gained over 28 years of on-and-off lifting and juicing.

Peace and see you around,

Geeving
