Happy Halloween

here is wishing young and old a safe and fun Halloween

my days of enjoying Halloween ended a few years back when my kids stopped going out. Living in the country I have never had a kid knock at my door.
So its not a big event for me any more

but omg as a kid I sure had fun

Every year I would have two costumes. I would go out as early as I could and go as fast as I could to cover my neighborhood. Then back home to drop the candy and switch costumes. Then back out to hit the best places a second time. Year after year I did that and never got caught once.

Afterwards I would sit down with my sisters and we would trade each other for our favorite candies.

Do you have any Halloween memories to share??

I remember trick or treating with my friend when I was approx. five years old in a big, creepy, low income apartment building in a rough area of Hamilton, Ontario with no adults or bigger kids watching out for us. There were all kinds of people living in there and it very likely included it's share of pedophiles so that's pretty creepy. o_O

Times have changed...

Still making memories, never to old! Naw kidding I got the little one in town with direct orders to round up as many Hawkins cheesies as possible.
Last year out trick or treating with the little ones I experienced probably the oddest "Halloween candy" yet. Dumped out the candy bags afterwards and there was religious musical CD in the bag, thought it was funny and extremely odd.

No memories that I can think of at the moment but I am laying in bed on my phone and neighbor next door has what sounds like ww3 going on :LOL:

As a kid I have fond memories for sure. As a adolscent it was a great excuse to go drink and get into some harmless troube like egging our rival high school.

As a adult, I'm just waiting for my kids to be old enough to go out for trick or treating. Both my kids dressed up, but they are still in bed by 6:30 every night. They arent old enough to hack it yet.

I almost forgot about this... I'm glad nobody seems to go out and causes a bunch of mischief on "Devil's Night" (the night before Halloween) anymore.

No memories from my childhood but I took my 18 month old step son out for the first time and he went to the door, refused the candy and just walked into each house exploring the surroundings...it was hilarious and he was dressed as a muscleman lol 😂
